Admission in IIAD is through entrance examination. For my course, the entrance test was divided into two parts. The first part was an iDAT, and the second part was studio simulation. These tests were designed to check the design ability of the students. There is no cutoff system at IIAD, students who are selected receive an offer letter.
Overall, IIAD is a great place for design students. They encourage you to enhance your skills.
