Burdwan University, popularly known as the University of Burdwan, established in 1960 is a UGC-accredited university with an 'A' grade from NAAC. The institute has been ranked 5 by EduRank in West Bengal. The university's four academic sites and 166 affiliated colleges offer nearly 100 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs.
