Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology [SMVIT] Bangalore was founded in the year 1986. It was founded in the state of Karnataka by Sri Krishnadevaraya Educational Trust [Sri KET]. It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University [VTU] and approved by All India Council for Technical Education,[AICTE] New Delhi, and is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, [NBA] New Delhi. The college is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Institution. It aims to become an autonomous Institute and later to be a Deemed University of repute through concerted efforts of our management, faculty, and students. Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology admission offers B.E. degree programs and Masters Programs in the Field of Engineering.

Sir MVIT admissions process for the programs offered by Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology Bangalore is based on the entrance exams.  KCET 2022 result has been declared based on which the admission into BTech courses will take place. 

Sir MVIT Eligibility Criteria

Sir MVIT offers courses in UG and PG in various specializations like BTech, MTech, MBA, and MCA. Eligibility criteria for some of the courses are given below

B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

• The candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam with a minimum of 45% marks in PCM.
• The students must score a good rank in CET/ COMED-K entrance exam.

M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

• The candidates must have passed B.Tech/ BE examination, obtained at least 50% marks.
