Entrance Exams & Admissions : Hi, I am an MBA Grad currently studying at SMVIT. So, if you are wondering about the admission procedure and eligibility criteria, here it is. I wrote a PGCET entrance exam to get into MBA here. But you can even directly join the college without any entrance exam, but the fees will be too much. When you get through PGCET, the fees is really affordable. You can easily get into SMVIT if you select/prioritize the college in the selection rounds process after the entrance exam and its results(though there is a cut-off which doesnt matter if you select SMVIT as the first option in your 1st round).

Placements & Internships : When it comes to placements, its not about quantity but quality; the placements are limited, but you can get placed in reputed companies with a really good package. The internships are gonna start in your final semester. There are courses you have to compulsorily take up in your 1st year related to accounting subject. The package is high; it can go upto INR 7 Lakh to INR 10 lakh per annum in a very reputed company.

Fees & Scholarships : Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, [SMVIT] Bangalore Fee Structure. The course fee is about INR 74,000 per annum. The college fees is affordable. If you are willing to join through management, the fees is above INR 1 lakh per year. Every student gets to apply for scholarships, and the college is supportive of the scholarship procedure. With all the relevant documents that is required, you can apply for the scholarship.

Academics & Faculty : The college is great, and the education is really good. The faculty is very friendly and will help you out with all the Subjects. The environment and the ambiance is amazing. Like any other college, the cleanliness is well maintained. The surrounding is so peaceful and amazing with greenery all around. Canteens are commendable and fine, and I have had a great time in college so far. I know what you are looking for. The education is good, but I will be honest, as it is VTU, you will have a lot of assignments and internals to do. In case you miss any internal, then you will be given the internals again. VTU is lenient and strict at the same time. The quality of teaching is really good, especially when it comes to the practical subjects they cover every chapter (every problem will be solved). The classes will start at 9 am and end at 4 pm for MBA students. Every class is for 2 hours, and there is a min break after each class. You will have a lunch break of 45min-1hr.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : The college infrastructure is very cool. It may look dull from the outside, but its a whole different place from the inside. The labs, classrooms, libraries, canteens are amazing. The food menu changes every day, and its neither pricey nor cheap; you will surely enjoy the lemon tea during break time. There are hostels for boys and girls inside the college. As students come from really far places for education, you can find many hostels here, and the fees are affordable and not included in college fees. College buses are available at affordable rates. But if you opt for your vehicle or bus, then that is a totally different scenario. You have to walk around 1.2-1.5 kms to college from SMVIT cross if you travel by Bmtc bus or there are autorickshaws available near the SMVIT cross which can be shared with fellow mates at really affordable rates.

Clubs & Associations : College life is always amazing when you have a good set of friends. You will make good friends in SMVIT for sure and enjoy all the activities provided by the institute. You can participate in all kind of sports that you are interested in. The faculty is very supportive of all your accomplishments and interests in extracurricular activities. One of my friends is a national-level basketball player and gets special permission for the practice, and the attendance is also given accordingly. You will surely be overwhelmed by the response of the faculty and MBA department for their constant support in all the activities you wish to participate in.
