Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech:
All the candidates should have passed [10+2] exam conducted by the central board or any of its state board equivalents with a minimum of 50% of marks along with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biotechnology as mandatory subjects.
All the SC/ST candidates will have 5% of marks relaxation on the minimum aggregate.
Streams under B.Tech:
- Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- Computer Science Engineering
- Information Science & Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
Application Process for B.Tech:
The candidates can apply in two ways to avail an admission:
- Through KCET (Karnataka common entrance test) exam.This entrance test is specifically conducted for the applicants of the state of Karnataka.
- For the candidates all over India, COMED-K UGET is the entrance exam to get an admission into the institution..
- Candidates can also get an admission by institutional quota(management quota) whose rights are all reserved by the institution.
Admission Process for B.Tech:
Candidates will have to go through the counseling rounds of the respective entrance exams they wrote.
Further, the candidate should have to appear for either of the KCET/COMED-K entrance examination.
The candidates can also attain an admission into the institution by the institute quota(management quota) if any seats remain unallocated.
After going through the counseling process of either of the KCET/COMED-K entrance examination, the candidates are expected to lock in or report back to the institution respectively.

Academics & Faculty : NIE Institute of Technology, [NIEIT] Mysore is popularly known as NIEIT. Most important is that NIEIT is the sister institute of NIE, Mysore (Estd. 1946) under NIE group of Institution and is located in Manandavadi Road near Silk factory. NIEIT is located in KOorgalli Village next to BEML in Industrial area. It has 25 acres of campus having a huge cricket ground. Infosys, L&T and other company are just 1 Km far away from NIEIT campus. NIEIT established in 2008. Teachers and staffs are really very good. Their teaching styles and way of explaining is good. They all are well qualified teachers and some of them are pursuing higher degree also. College maintains good timing. With respect to attendance they are bit strict, however it it depends on individual also. They make sure that students attend class, clarify their doubts , complete all syllabus on time.
