Placements & Internships : Personally, I am not happy with the placement at NIE Institute of Technology, [NIEIT] Mysore. The very first batch passed in 2012, there were around 58 placement as Infosys hired in mass. Later no mass company next year

Placements & Internships : Personally, I am not happy with the placement at NIE Institute of Technology, [NIEIT] Mysore. The very first batch passed in 2012, there were around 58 placement as Infosys hired in mass. Later no mass company next year. It is not like company is not visiting the college campus, but very less comapnies comes to campus. College arranges for some pool drive in association with other colleges in the city. During my admission time, from office, I was told that placement will be with NIE, but it was just said and not in reality. If they do also then for just one or two company. Actually, NIE should call students fron NIEIT for placement as both are under same management. Less opportunity for campus placement. You have to fight outside. However, college provides placement training.

Academics & Faculty : NIE Institute of Technology, [NIEIT] Mysore is popularly known as NIEIT. Most important is that NIEIT is the sister institute of NIE, Mysore (Estd. 1946) under NIE group of Institution and is located in Manandavadi Road near Silk factory. NIEIT is located in KOorgalli Village next to BEML in Industrial area. It has 25 acres of campus having a huge cricket ground. Infosys, L&T and other company are just 1 Km far away from NIEIT campus. NIEIT established in 2008. Teachers and staffs are really very good. Their teaching styles and way of explaining is good. They all are well qualified teachers and some of them are pursuing higher degree also. College maintains good timing. With respect to attendance they are bit strict, however it it depends on individual also. They make sure that students attend class, clarify their doubts , complete all syllabus on time. The institute has a tight schedule for test and exams. For projects all staffs help students at maximum level. When final semester exam is there, it is really very tough, not w.r.t questions but in other respects because questions come from visvesvaraya technological university(VTU), Belgaum. This college is AICTE approved, and accredited by govt . of Karnataka. Affliated to VTU, Belgaum. I enjoyed my college life. 

Fees & Scholarships : Fee at NIE Institute of Technology, [NIEIT] Mysore differ based on different factor. You can get admission through K-CET, COMED-K and management quota. Comed-K and management quota will have similar fee structure after admission. For K-CET students fee differs. Based on cast as per norms of govt. of karnatka fee will be applicable. SC/ST/OBC has diffent fee. For brahmin some schorship is provided from some institute. COMED-K and management quota: Fee will be Rs one Lakh ten thousnad plus annually. K-CET: fee will be less than Rs fifty thousand annually.  There are provision of scholarship for karnatka students from karnataka goverment.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : NIE Institute of Technology, [NIEIT] Mysore does not have it's own hostel in it's campus, but it provides accomodation in NIE boys hostel for boys nad in NIE girls hostel for girls. Girls hostel is newly made with all modern features. Hostel fee is reasonable not too high. Basically they provide south indian food but also they provide some kinds of north indian food. Students who are from other region of india may find some difficulty in food in beginning later it can be adjusted. Boys hostel having LAN, Wifi, TV in common area, well dining area, small gym, play ground. Girls hostel building is really awesome but no other comments on girls hostel. NIEIT campus has two building one is dedicataed for lab and both buildings are Wifi enabled. Third building is coming up soon and is about to complete and operational its phase 1. A very big cricket playground, basketball court, cricket practice net, volleyball, kabaddi and other indoor games. 

Clubs & Associations : NIE Institute of Technology, [NIEIT] Mysore cleberates its annual festival called IGNIEIT in which every individual contribute and make it grand success. There are assocation and committee at branch level and some other level which gives students too come up with their ideas and gives chance to show their talent. Music club, sports club etc. College gets a chance to host University level of sports many times. Overall, college life is always enjoyable. You always remember this through your life. It depends on you also how you want to lead your college life. Unless you involve yourself, you can not go ahead. Come ahead and take part actively in everything and live your life to fullest, coolest and whatever you can call it.
