International School of Information Management,[ISiM] Mysore, is an autonomous institute, an integral part of the University of Mysore, established in 2005 in partnership with the leading information schools like the University of Michigan; University of Pittsburgh; and the Syracuse University, it is because of the rising demand of new professionals by the society. ISiM is run by the independent Governing Board chaired by the Vice Chancellor of the Mysore University with renowned academics and industry as members. As the new era's key to business is the art, science, technology, management and information.

So, information management is the key to overcome the information overload which can take the organization forward said by Tim Berners Lee. • ISiM has a well furnished, excellently designed Auditorium with a seating capacity of 220 audiences.
• All the co-curricular activities such as seminars/workshops, cultural activities, department functions, NEN programs, NSS and other events are organized in this auditorium.
• LCD projectors, slide projectors, etc are available in the auditorium.
• The library of ISiM is well stocked with books, journals, databases, audio-visual materials, CDs/DVDs, e-journals, reports, case studies, etc.
• The library is also fully computerized and has electronic resources and has wifi facility to easily access the internet for study purpose.
• The conference of ISiM is well equipped with all the audio-visual materials such as a computer, LCD, audio systems.
• There are well designed large halls placement interviews, pre-placement talk, faculty/students presentations.
• ISiM has a state of art facility consists of PC nodes and IBM Pentium based services connected on a high-speed Gigabit Ethernet UTP based network in Windows and Linux environment.
• Every student is provided with one computer system as per AICTE.
• These nodes have access to the internet with 4mbps broadband connectivity.

• The students need to apply for the companies they are interested in and upload their resumes on the companies provided the link.
• Then the company will select candidates according to their pre-requisites and then the companies visit the campus for the recruitment process.
• The students are made well prepared by the placement cell as they conduct many mock tests, mock interviews, GD, PI, placement talks.
• The companies visited on the campus Informatics(India), Unisys, Thomson Reuters, Rediff, IBM, TATA, Web18, etc.
• The institute has large separate halls for the placements interview process.
• The students have also internship before their placements in companies like Cogknit, Ideophone, Globals, etc.
