The National Institute of Technology, Surathkal, has successfully conducted and concluded the 2022 placements. NIT Surathkal placements saw the overall highest package for undergraduate and postgraduate courses, at INR 45 LPA. In addition, the overall average salary package offered stood at INR 20.95 LPA. The median salary provided to the UG students was INR 10 LPA; for PG, two years and three years stood at INR 7.5 LPA and INR 7.9 LPA, respectively. One of the cell's key goals is to connect its students and graduates with significant job opportunities that match their personal and intellectual profiles. Apart from providing placement and internship opportunities, the cell is also adept in training in master's programmes, civil services, defence, and start-ups. In addition, various internship programs, lectures, and pre-placement talks are organised by the cell to equip the students with the professional world's requirements.

NIT Surathkal Placement Process

The steps for conducting the annual placement drive at NIT Surathkal are described below.

• First, the NIT Surathkal placements cell sends invitations and all relevant details for the recruitment drive to the organisations.
• Employers must complete the JNF (job notification form) to recruit students. The organisations should mention details like the package offered, place of posting, and other relevant information.
• The completed JNFs are sent to the NIT Surathkal placement cell.
• Dates of pre-placement talks are set up on campus.
• Post that, interested students are asked to apply to the organisations.
