NIT Srinagar was established in the year 1960 by the Government of India. National Institute of Technology Srinagar B.Tech admissions will be decided based on JEE Main 2024 exam. JEE Main 2024 result for session 2 will be released on April 25, 2024. Further, registrations for JoSAA 2024 counselling are expected to start from June 10, 2024.

NIT Srinagar is a public institute that operates autonomously, is linked to other NITs and is administered by the NIT Council. UGC, AICTE, and MHRD have approved NITSR. NITSR is ranked #82 in the Engineering category of the NIRF Ranking 2023.

NIT Srinagar Admission

NIT Srinagar 2024 is in process. The admission process is conducted online and based on national-level entrance exams, including JEE Main and GATE. Students must appearin the JoSAA or CCMT counselling to secure course admission. NIT Srinagar offers BTech, MTech and MPhil courses.

NITSR provides a four-year B.tech program with eight specialisations. Computer Science and Engineering is the most popular specialisation among the institute's eight options.
