NIT Srinagar Infrastructure: Library, Hostel, Labs, Gym, Auditorium & Other Facilities

National Institute of Technology, Srinagar is an Institute with accommodation facilities in hostels and staff quarters. There are five hostels, out of which four hostels are for Boys and one for Girls. It is equipped with a library, guest house, workshop, etc. Further details regarding the NIT Srinagar campus are given below.

Hostel: A centralised hostel office deals with hostel issues and ensures that the hostels are kept in order. A warden is assigned to each NIT Srinagar hostel to keep a close eye on the students. These wardens are selected from various departments and are highly competent faculty members.

Library: The NIT Srinagar library offers various e-journals and e-databases. It has set itself apart by offering a Remote Access Facility (RAF) to subscribed electronic periodicals and journals through an e-Shodhsindhu consortium. The library has also subscribed to the web-based plagiarism detection services Turnitin and Urkund.

Guest House: NIT Srinagar has built a guest house for visitors. Six air-conditioned rooms, including two VIP rooms, are available at the guest's home. There are twin beds in the rooms and other amenities. Kitchens, dining halls, a meeting room, and a lounge are also available.

Central Workshop: The NIT Srinagar campus area has a central workshop equipped with state of the art instruments with hands-on training and exposure to manufacturing and shop floor procedures. Students are assisted in constructing models and prototypes for their final year projects.

Computing Facilities: The institute provides students with an internal network infrastructure. A Wi-Fi facility is also available. It offers high-end workstations for research scholars.
