Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] Reviews

Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Agricultural Engineering), batch of 2016
  • For outsiders, hostels are the best part of their entire college life.
  • Wifi enabled and good infrastructure at National Institute of Technology, [NIT] Srinagar.
  • What I personally felt in my hostel life was that, after college, wherever you go, you definitely can make friends in any part of the country very easily because NIT SRINAGAR is the only best college where you can have friends from Pakistan(Anantnag) also.

Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering), batch of 2018
  • There are 7 hostels for boys and 2 hostels for girls which are enough to accommodate both the bachelors and masters students. Hostels are swapped after completion of every even semester. Hostel infrastructure is like that of every government college whether it is IITs or NITs. Every hostel has its separate mess. The hostel fee is Rs 1,650.
  • Non-local students cannot stay in PG outside the college. Local students can stay in PGs on parents consent and college permission.
  • The food quality in the college mess is average.

Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Civil Engineering), batch of 2017

  • In 1st,2nd and 3rd year there were 4 students accomodated in a single room and in 4th year 1 student per room.Hostel fee is 2000 for 4 years.
  • There is no option such as PGs Food it nearly satisfactory. It costs 20 for breakfast,30 for lunch and dinner and 10 for evening tea and snacks.
  • Classrooms has an old structure, enough sitting arrangements, labs are outdated however steps have been taken for renewal, library also is outdated in floods of 2014.
  • Wifi arrangements are good and will get better within a year.
