The National Institute of Technology, Srinagar, has successfully conducted and concluded the 2022 placements. The 2023 recruitment process is still going on and is yet to be released on the official website. NIT Srinagar placements saw the overall highest package for undergraduate and postgraduate courses, at INR 8.50 LPA. In addition, the median salary package offered to the UG and PG courses stood at INR 8.33 LPA and INR 6.5 LPA, respectively. The NIT Srinagar placements cell is diligent and works hard to provide the best employment opportunities to the students. The placement cell takes care of all placement-related activities like summer internship programmes, pre-placement lectures, skill enhancement workshops, and campus drives.

The official placement report of NIT Srinagar (data taken from NIRF report) 2022 states that 468 UG (4-year programme) and 58 PG (2-year programme) students were placed. NIT Srinagar CSE average package was recorded at INR 7.50 LPA for the BTech course. Fifty-one students from the UG and sixty-two from the PG batches opted out of NIT Srinagar placements and pursued higher studies. One of the cell's key goals is to connect its students and graduates with significant job opportunities that match their personal and intellectual profiles. Mock interviews, group discussions, aptitude tests, and communication skill enhancement programmes are arranged by the cell. In addition, various internship programs, lectures, and pre-placement talks are organised better to equip the students with the professional world's requirements.

NIT Srinagar Placement Process

The steps for conducting the annual placement drive at NIT Srinagar are described below.

• First, the NIT Srinagar placements cell sends invitations and all relevant details for the recruitment drive to the organisations.
• Employers must complete the JNF (job notification form) to recruit students. The organisations should mention details like the package offered, place of posting, and other relevant information.
• The completed JNFs are sent to the NIT Srinagar placement cell.
• Dates of pre-placement talks are set up on campus.
• Post that, interested students are asked to apply to the organisations.
• Once applied, the student details are shared with the companies to shortlist.
• The placement office gives companies dates to conduct the selection process. The selection process includes aptitude examinations, group discussions and personal interviews.
• The recruiting organisations will make job offers after completing the selection procedure by qualified students.
• Selected candidates sign the offer letters handed over to the organisations by the NIT Srinagar TPC.
