Library

An academic library is a library that is attached to academic institutions serving the teaching and research needs of students and staff. The library serves to support the College curriculum, and to support the research of the college faculty and students.

This library is a rich source of information for students and faculty members who wish to learn more towards Education, Research and Training. The Library supports the research and teaching of MIT college of Food technology. The Library’s collection includes more than 2075 books, subscriptions of 13 periodicals and journals from all over the India, graduation project/Research reports, hands on training reports, e-books and e-journals. There is a collection of newspaper cutting/clipping related to food processing, marketing, food industry, etc.

Library Services:

1. Internet Facility for Student and Staff.
2. Provide previous question papers for reference
3. Issued Magazine/Journals for reference and xeroxing of useful articles for preparation of project work & other study and provide list of article indexing on back issues of periodicals.
4. Collect and provide useful and knowledgeable information of various subjects through News paper clippings.
5. Some rare and reference books are provide for only reading in library and photocopy.

Hostel

Each campus of MIT Pune has its own character. But they all combine state-of-the-art facilities with a friendly study environment, setting modern architecture against a backdrop of natural beauty and a special emphasis on a green environment. A lot of thought has gone into creating a stimulating environment in our campuses for study and research. The campuses are well-equipped with very good infrastructure and world-standard hostels (separate for boys and girls).

Sports

We take every effort to encourage our students to participate in various social, cultural and sports activities. The college has its own cricket, football and volleyball groundsindoor game facilities are also provided. Our students have participated and won number of prizes at Inter-Collegiate, University, State and National levels. MIT Pune has successfully organized several sports tournaments including Inter-Engineering Athletic Meet, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis tournaments, Zonal level Boxing, Badminton, Chess tournaments and Inter-Professional College Volley ball, Basketball tounaments, and so on.

All the sports facilities are well looked after by a proficient sports in-charge.

Canteen

Spacious and well-equipped canteen facility is available at MIT's campus. A complete and planned meal is served in neat, clean and hygienic surroundings. Apart from north and south Indian nutritious break-fast, lunch and dinner, the canteen also serves appetizing Chinese food. Tea, coffee and soft drinks along with snacks are also available. All the items are reasonably priced. Monthly Mess facility is also available for the students as well as staff members.

Bank Facility

Financial transactions either with the institute or personal are an inevitable part of student life. To provide banking convenience to students, branch of the 'Bank of India' is available with an ATM center at the college premises itself with all the necessary facilities, which will further facilitate the students to carry out the important banking interactions like cash withdrawal or cheque deposit.

Medical Services

Fully equipped dispensaries with doctors and ambulance is available at our premises.
