About Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, [MUOHS] Nasik


Maharashtra University of Health Sciences was established in the year 1998 and has more than 80 colleges affiliated to it. The University has an excellent infrastructure and is furnished with a library, laboratories, cafeteria, hostel and sports facilities. All public medical colleges in the state of Maharashtra are affiliated to the University and are accredited by the University Grants Commission and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The University also gives students industrial exposure in the fields of medicine.

The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences with jurisdiction over the whole of the State of Maharashtra is authorised and incorporated on 3rd June 1998 for the purposes of ensuring proper and systematic instruction, teaching, training and research in modern medicine and Indian Systems of Medicine in the State of Maharashtra, and to have balanced growth in the medical sciences so also an uniformity in various courses in medical faculty in the State. Head Office is located at Vani-Dindori Road, Mhasrul, Nashik.

The fee structure for different courses are given below:

  • The course fee for MBBS is INR 58,200/- per annum.
  • BPO course fee costs INR 13,900/- per annum.
  • The fee structure for BASLP is INR 23,000/- per annum.
  • Course fee for BPT is INR 23,000/- per annum.
  • The cost for the M.Sc course is INR 70,500/- per annum.
  • For the MD course, students have to pay INR 66,950/- per annum.

Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Eligibility Criteria:

 The following are the courses and their eligibility criteria:

 B.Sc (Optometry)
  • The students entering the Optometry program should have completed the recognized secondary school studies and should be a 10+2 with Sciences Physics, chemistry, biology from a recognized Board.
  • Candidates who have completed a diploma in ophthalmic science/diploma in optometry from GMC/MUHS can also join the undergraduate course. They would be eligible to join in 2nd-year of Optometry.
  • Ophthalmic Officers in service will be considered who will be granted permission through the proper channel 
 MD (Medical)
  • As per the guidelines of the Medical Council of India and affiliated university.
  • Candidates must have 45% in their higher secondary examination.
  • Candidates who are disabled or belong to the SC/ST category must have a minimum of 40% to apply. 
 BDS
  • Candidates applying for the dental course (BDS) must have a minimum of 50% of the 10+2 exam to be eligible to apply.

To secure admission at any college affiliated to the University, the candidates must first download the application form issued by the University.
