CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS

IEI i.e institute of engineers india is one of the best students forum under which national level technical symphosim TECHZONE is conducted every year.

College cultural committe and fest is known as JANVEY.

these 2 are major students forum.

other than these JNN alumini association, nss are also there.

the college life in JNNCE.. it cant be explained in words.. it has to be felt.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY

Our daily routine is from 7 am to 5 pm. The faculty of the college is well experienced. The average experience of the faculty is about 23 years (mechanical faculty). They are very helping and focused. They helped us in every aspect.

CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS

There were events like Tech zone which was a national level technical symposium. The students of various colleges participated. Our college day called JANVEY was celebrated on the campuses.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY

Daily routine at JNNCE is pretty simple.
There are no hectic schedules for anyone.
The quality of teaching at JNNCE is great and I would give the staff an 8/10 for sincere teaching.

I learnt a lot of new things from college and it has helped me to understand the latest trends in the technological field.

Usual classes at Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering start at 7:30AM and end at 5:30PM. Though, branch wise time tables differ, all the students get equal number of classes and laboratory time. Overall, the college has a conducive atmosphere and provides a nice platform to express opinions.

CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS

There are many student clubs in JNNCE and numerous groups for enterpreunship activities. There are branch-wise forums for co-curricular activities. Also, an incubation centre in the campus focuses on providing projects to students.

There are some very good teachers with good teaching experience present at Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering.
The college usually starts at 8 am in the morning and classes are held for at least 6 hours daily.

FOREIGN EXCHANGE & INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE

Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering has no collaboration or MOU with any universities abroad.
There is no exchange program.

SOCIAL ATMOSPHERE

I do not like the atmosphere of Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering.
A lot of problems in the campus due to language issues.

About The College

Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering (JNNCE) was established in the year 1980 by the National Education Society, a pioneer society in Malnad region founded by freedom fighters of high repute.

Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering or JNNCE is an engineering college situated in Shimoga, Karnataka, India.
The college offers eight courses in the Bachelor of Engineering and four postgraduate Engineering courses.
The college was established in 1980 by the National Education Society. The college is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and also by the Government of Karnataka. The campus is spread over an area of more than 40 acres (160,000 m2).
It offers eight undergraduate courses (B.E) and four P.G courses. Research and development centres have been started in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, and MBA departments. Engineering graduates can pursue their Ph.D and M.Sc (Engineering) by research at these centres. A Telecommunications and Engineering B.E course was introduced from 2000-2001.
The College is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and also by Government of Karnataka.
The College campus is spread over an area of more than forty acres having all amenities to cater to the needs of about 2500 students and 300 staff members.
Institution offers seven undergraduate (UG) courses and six PG Courses.
