There are 2 hostels on our campus. Many PG's are available but, its rent is very high. Yes, on our college WiFi available.

Central Library
The Central Library of Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College was established in the year 1961. From a humble start with a few books, it now has an enviable collection of 49,349 valuable books and subscribes to 22 journals and periodicals(as on 1st April, 2007). Almost 3000 back-volumes of the journals are available. The Library also currently subscribes online to 5 e-journal packages namely IEL(120 journals), ASCE(30), ASME(19), Springerlink(520), Del(about 4000 enginering articles), which includes journals of both technical and supporting departments through the INDEST-AICTE consortium. The services are being offered mainly for the students, teachers and staff members.
An outsider may use the reference section of the Library with the prior permission of the authority concerned . Moreover any type of reference and referral services are available. Almost 6163 new volumes have been procured under the TEQIP grant from World Bank.
The newly built Central Computing Lab provides more than hundred computers in two state of art rooms.
Room 1 consists approximate 52 PCs,1 LCD hanging type projector, 1 writing board, Shutter type screen, OHP, 1 trolley for one pc and OHP for both theory and practical classes, Seminar, training course, computer practical, project work, Internet etc.
Approximate 52 PCs in room 2 will be used for computer practice, project work, internet.
