Indian Institute of Technology, [IIT] Chennai spread over 630 acres. IIT ensures the safety of the student as well as looks after their welfare and requirements.
IIT is acknowledged for its campus and residential facilities. Some of the highlighting features of the IIT campus are listed below.
The IIT has a wide range of facilities provided to students. Some of these are mentioned below:
Classrooms: Well-organized and furnished classrooms, as well as digital boards, are installed in every class to make sure a student must have a better learning experience.
Library: The Central Library, a five-story, air-conditioned building, divided into different sections - textbook/reference, general stacks, reading halls, journals and current periodicals, media research center. It is well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of online databases, e-journals, and provides electronic access to various full text & bibliographical databases & e-journals.
Hostel: All hostels are named after the prominent rivers of India. Rooms are furnished with internet and laundry facility on the campus. Each hostel has a separate room for television called a common room. A telephone and washing machine is provided in every hostel. A hostel library is provided in every hostel. The students are not allowed to drive powered vehicles on campus. They can use bicycles only or walk.

1.Hostels are available with good atmosphere, hostel fee per semester is 20750 rupees
2.Food is average, cost per meal is 90 rupees

Hostel life is the best part. Good councils (student-run) to aid the overall running of the campus.

There are 3 to 4 hostels for girls. For boys it is more than 15. Hostel fee is around INR 21,000 per semester. Food in college is good. It costs around INR 90 per day. Infrastructure is also pretty good in IIT Madras.
