The placement cell of IIT Bhubaneswar is called the Career Development Cell (CDC). The main aim of the Career Development Cell (CDC) at IIT Bhubaneswar is to provide placement support and guidance for students. The IIT Bhubaneswar placement cell comprises faculty members, representations from students, and Professor-in-charge (PIC). The institute has collaborated with various foreign industries and universities to help students broaden their knowledge. The placement procedure is as follows:
- Formulating and sending the official invitation to the companies.
- Forwarding the "Job Notification Form" to interested corporates and receiving the same with all the specifications filled by the company.
- Scheduling the preplacement talks.
- The interested students can apply online or offline mode.
- Organizing the campus interviews on the scheduled date.
- The company needs to declare the final list of students to the PIC on the interview date itself.
