Shastri Group of Institutes (SGI) was formed in 2001 by establishing its flagship institute; Indian Institute for Aeronautical Engineering and Information Technology (IIAEIT) by young and energetic first generation entrepreneur Mr. Anshul Sharma at Pune. In, twelve years the SGI expanded its education domain by creating new institutes in the field of Management, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Aviation & Hospitality, Performance Enhancement and School Education.
IIAEIT has developed into a leading training Institute with excellent infrastructure in the last twelve years, starting from training students for professional institutions’ examinations culminating into BTech Aerospace Engineering degree course. Now it is trying to acquire global status through collaboration with EDEXCEL courses leading to vertical progression of BEng degree from the UK. The courses will commence after all the necessary approvals from Indian and foreign agencies concerned are obtained.
Edexcel, a Pearson company, is the UK’s largest awarding body, offering academic and vocational qualifications and testing to more than 25,000 schools, colleges, employers and other places of learning in the UK and in over 100 countries worldwide. Qualifications, amongst others, include BTEC suite of vocational qualifications from entry level to BTEC Higher National Diplomas, recognized by employers and higher education institutions worldwide.
The institute is contemplating of taking necessary approvals to offer Edexcel BTEC Level 5 HNDs in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Automotive and Electrical & Electronics Engineering, which will lead to vertical progression to BEng degree. Twinning mode education enables the transfer of credits after two-year study at IIAEIT and the rest one year in universities of United Kingdom. The courses have not commenced yet.
Attempts are also in progress to obtain necessary approvals from the competent authorities in collaborating with universities in the US for undergraduate programs in engineering; such as aeronautical/aerospace, automobile, mechatronics, manufacturing, mechanical, electrical and electronics engineering. Twinning mode education enables the transfer of credits after two-year study at IIAEIT and the rest two years in universities of United States of America. The courses have not yet commenced.
IIAEIT has excellent infrastructure, latest laboratories, well-qualified faculty and hostels with modern facilities.

MISSION
To transform the youth into high caliber professional engineers to meet the challenges of the highly competitive world through intensive training, appropriate guidance, discipline with human values and holistic approach and to utilize the knowledge of Engineering & Technology for the welfare of the society.
Per year the institution charges INR 250000 as tuition fees and INR 80K for hostel accommodation. Students scoring distinction in their metrics and 12th will get the scholarship to INR 50K and 60K.
