The School of Management Studies began its academic operations in 1987 with the launch of Diploma in Management as a pilot programme of the University, today offers 4 programmes in Management and 14 programmes in Commerce. The Management Programme currently consists of 65 courses. In the Commerce discipline, the school offers a total of 46 courses.

The IGNOU Management Programme is one of the leading Management Programmes in the world and imparts quality flexible education at the doorstep of the learners. IGNOU MBA Distance Learning Courses to various African countries, as part of the Pan-African e-network Project. Indira Gandhi National Open University, recognized by the University Grants Commission(UGC), was established in 1985 with an aim to provide quality higher education to all the sections of the society and hence is aptly called, ‘The People’s University’.

IGNOU MBA, New Delhi Eligibility Criteria:

Courses	Eligibility Criteria
MBA	Candidates must have completed graduation in any discipline with 50 % marks for general category and 45 % for the reserved category with 3 years managerial/supervisory/professional experience or must have cleared professional Degree with 50% marks in Engineering/ Medicine/ chartered accountancy (ICAI)/ Cost and Works Accountancy(ICWAI)/ Chartered Secretary-ship (ICSI), and Law. must have cleared OPENMAT entrance test conducted by IGNOU.
MPB	The Candidate should be a member of the Indian Institute of Bankers and should satisfy the following conditions : She/he should have passed the CAIIB examinations of Indian Institute of Bankers, Mumbai and awarded the requisite qualification/ credentials thereof by the institute. She/he should have been working in the banking or financial service sector for a period at least as two years. She/he should be a graduate from a recognised university.
PHDMGMT	Candidates must have completed an M Phil Degree /a Masters degree in a relevant discipline with minimum 55 per cent marks (50 percent marks for SC/ ST/ PH candidates) or an equivalent grade from a university or a recognised institution of higher learning Admission through the entrance examination conducted by IGNOU
PG Diploma	Candidates must have completed graduation in any discipline with 50 % marks for general category and 45 % for the reserved category with 3 years managerial/supervisory/professional experience.
