Government Engineering College, Godhra is the Degree Level college founded in 2009-10 to establish Engineering College in Panchmahal District under the special policy of State Government of Gujarat. GEC, Godhra is set up under the Directorate of Technical Education, Gujarat State, Gandhinagar. GEC is currently the only Government Degree Engineering Institute in the district of Panchmahals that offers degree level courses in BE specializations like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering.

Government Engineering College’s vision is to be a trustworthy institution that prepares inspired, accountable, competitive, and imaginative graduates to meet the needs of society and industry, and its mission is to foster and incubate innovative ideas and to provide quality education and develop the skills of students. GEC Admission is merit-based.

BE full form is  Bachelor of Engineering. Bachelor of Engineering is a professional degree program that comes up with a duration of four years having eight semesters. BE course focuses mainly on the scientific theory concepts and experiments and on converting the theoretical knowledge into action blended with the traditional foundations of the technology. Eligibility criteria for BE are 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as mandatory subjects.
