CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS

Anand is an educational hub. You will meet a worse range of students from many colleges. There are many societies in the college itself got to dance, music, literature, tech geeks, etc. The college organizes its annual fees Udaan, a combo of tech and culture. Anand as a whole organizes cultural rest Volcano open for all colleges. Also, students do participate in the GTU festivals such as Xitij and many other colleges also organize their own festivals for students to participate.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY

You have to be punctual. Regular classes are compulsory. Teaching methods are sometimes felt old fashioned, but you can overcome it. You can perform practicals well because of plenty of practical setups are available in labs. You will get overall good experience with learning.


CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS

IEI, ISTE, and SSA are the main student's societies which generally organize college festivals. There are two types of festivals one is tech and other is nontech both are enthusiastic. UDAAN is the main tech+nontech festival organized by the college. Also, some zonal festivals like VOLCANO are the main attraction. College life is balanced on the campus.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY
  • Daily lectures are going on from 10a.m to 2p.m, and we are basically taught according to our syllabus designed by GTU,our lab timings are different every day,some day it is 8:00a.m to 10 a.m and some day it is 2:00p.m to 4:00 p.m or else 4:00p.m to 6:00p.m,Overall we have been taught basics of the syllabus which is quite helpful to us but we have to put our extra efforts to understand the topic thoroughly.
  • Overall experience is good.

About Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya Engineering College, [BVM] Vallabh Vidyanagar

Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya Engineering College, Vallabh Vidyanagar was established in 1948. It was first approved by Government as grant paid College. The college is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University. The college is also recognised by AICTE, New Delhi. BVM became the grant-in-aid institution of the state government in 1958 and slowly grants from the state as well as central government started trickling in.

In 1979, BVM was called upon to establish an institute working entirely for research, development, training and extension work in the area of renewable sources of energy particular for rural application. The Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India recognized BVM in 1984 as one of the centers for training in-service engineers in environmental engineering through postgraduate programme of M E (Environmental engineering).

Government Recognition

BVM became the grant-in-aid institution of the State Government in 1958 and slowly grants from the State as well as Central Government started trickling in. The Ministry of Works & Housing Govenment of India, Started a Rural Housing Wing from 1st January 1959. Principal of BVM, was named as the Ex-officio Director of the Wing. The wing was later renamed as a Regional Housing Development Centre. The Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India recognized BVM in 1984 as one of the centers for training in-service engineers in Environmental Engineering through postgraduate programmed of M E (Environmental Engineering) (the programmed was run by the institute earlier since 1979.
