DRK College of Engineering and technology is part of the Dasari Rama Kotaiah Group of Institution founded by Mr.D.B Chandra Sekhar Rao an eminent and successful business personality in the fond memory of his late father Sri Dasari Rama Kotaiah Garu. The college was established in 2004 and is located in Hyderabad, Telangana. The founder has subsequently decided to focus on quality education with philanthropic motives to act as a leader to promote the economic & industrial growth of the nation. Over the years the college has numerous success stories by including several courses to its curriculum and has formed as a reputed Engineering Institution and now the college has grown to have the best team of academicians, state of art teaching aids such as audiovisual equipment including LCD. To date, the college has produced several engineering graduates and postgraduates who support the nation’s growth.

DRKCET Courses Offered:

DRK College of Engineering and Technology offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs for its prospective students every academic year. The college only has a limited number of seats and candidates are taken for admission based on the entrance test conducted.

DRK College of Engineering and Technology Entrance Examination:

There are certain entrance examinations conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education. The college accepts these examination scores in selecting the students for admission into various programs offered. The students will be selected based on a merit list generated after passing the examination apart from the marks obtained from the qualifying exams conducted by the board. The entrance examinations accepted by the college for various programs include:

EAMCET:

Candidates willing to apply for the undergraduate programs in the field of Engineering, Agriculture, and Medicine participate in this test conducted by JNTU. 

ICET:

Students willing to take up MBA or MCA programs are required to clear this test conducted by Kakatiya University, Warangal.

ECET:

This exam is conducted by JNTU, Hyderabad for students with a diploma, and B.Sc. (Mathematics) candidates. The results from this exam are used for lateral admission in regular B.E/B.Tech courses in both Universities and Private institutions.

PGCET:

Candidates willing to enroll themselves in post-graduation courses should clear this examination conducted by Osmania University on behalf of TSCHE. 

DRKCET Infrastructure:

The college has a central library, an auditorium, seminar halls, a cafeteria, computer labs, and a playground. The institution features excellent infrastructure, modern engineering labs with the latest equipment, experienced teaching faculties, and provides lots of opportunities for development through collaborations with other organizations of the DRK Group and some of the best companies in the IT industry. 

DRK College of Engineering and Technology Placement:

The College’s Placement Cell acts as a resource for seeking career-related information which is helpful for the students in taking advantage of new or upcoming job opportunities. The cell focuses on building effective career strategies to help students become imperative in dynamically changing circumstances. The placement cell has been very much drawn in taking responsibility to cater to the placement of eligible students. As of now the institution has placed about 60% of its students in reputed organizations and achieving 100% placement in the upcoming years has been their major objective. The other objectives of the placement cell include enhancing soft skills and technical skills, personality and leadership quality development, the arrangement of on-campus placement drives, organizing industrial training for students and faculty staff.

DRKCET Extracurriculars:

The major event highlighting the college is the National Level Technical Festival called “Illuminati”. A festival is a three-day event that brings hundreds of students together from in and around the state to DRK. The festival is a mix of both technical and non-technical events. Some of the major events include paper presentation, C programming, LAN gaming contest, contraption and Rc rally, Robotics event, and technical quiz. Apart from these, each department of the institution organizes different sets of events making the entire duration of the fest filled with excitement. The students from both the college of engineering and the institute of science and technology take part in the festival. The festival is made extraordinary by its grand DJ night on the third day and the endless stalls and the lavish food court which cannot be missed.

DRK College of Engineering and Technology Eligibility Criteria:

Apart from the basic eligibility criteria mentioned by the College the students applying for the various programs have to clear the entrance test conducted by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education accordingly. The minimum eligibility includes,

DRKCET Admission:

DRK College of Engineering and Technology admission is offered in multiple specializations under various UG and PG courses. Candidates are selected based on the marks in the qualifying examination for the B.Tech programs. Any student who wishes to apply can do so offline by downloading the application form from the official website. TS EAMCET score is mandatory for B.Tech while TS PGECET score is necessary for admission in M.Tech program. For admission to MBA and MCA programs, they must have a valid score in TS ICET at the time of admission. They must pay a registration fee of INR 500  by cash or DD at the college office.
