The classes are regular in the college. Usually from 8:3O am to 4:30 pm. The teaching staff is very helpful and best in their business. A good place to focus on the next steps of your life.

There are more than 20 societies in colleges, including cultural societies and academic. Dance, drama, music, art, debate sums up the cultural wing and enacts, entrepreneurial society, marketing society, human resource development society, tech society, economic, tourism etc sums up the academic societies. The main fest is tatva organized in the month of Feb. Other than that all over the year the societies organize something or the other adding thrill to the college life.

  • The main festivals on campus are Cultural Fest of each college and University organised by college union and DUSU respectively.
  • In general, college life in full of fun and learning.

  • I started studying at college of  vocational studies in 2014, in the course b.com (h).
  • Since then the daily routine of college has been more or less the same.
  • Classes start at 9:00 am and towards the end of the semester classes on go till 3:00 p.m, with breaks in between.
  • We are given projects and assignments on regular basis to maintain our academic score.
  •  The quality and method of teaching is very good. Teachers pay attention to the problems and also help in better understanding of the subject.  
  • My overall experience in college has been very good and also I have learned many things  in the society of management.

  • Classes at College of Vocational Studies, Delhi University are held regularly. The faculty, if not exceptionally talented, is still well researched and good. Teachers are available for help, and they actually come and teach in classes. Of course, not all students attend. 
    Due to lack of classrooms, class timings are bad. Our day starts at 12 pm and goes till 4 pm.
  • Teaching methods are standard.
  • Overall experience at the University is good.

  • College of Vocational Studies, Delhi University is known for its sports festival, Runbhoomi. Colleges all over Delhi com to participate in the 3-day fest.
  • There is also the Finance and Investment Cell of the college, a society by the BMS/BBE crowd.
  • College life in general is quite involved and something or the other keeps happening all year round.

About College of Vocational Studies, Delhi University

The College of Vocational Studies, Delhi is an Indian educational institute for higher learning, affiliated with the University of Delhi. It is a co-educational college, founded in 1972, with emphasis on vocational education to bridge the gap between traditional university education, though courses in French, German and Spanish languages, Post Graduate Diploma in Tourism and Post Graduate Diploma in Book Publishing. Besides offering regular Honours Courses like Commerce, Economics, English, History and Management (BMS).

The college is situated in the heart of Delhi at Sheikh Sarai-II. Some of the popular courses offered include Economic Honors Business Economics, Computer Science, and Marketing Management.

AIMS OF THE VOCATIONAL STUDIES

(1) To successfully interweave general education with work-oriented skills & knowledge.

(2) The Programme enables a graduate to acquire intellectual skills, knowledge in a vocational field
     as well as other complementary inter-disciplinary subjects that give the student an advantage in
     her/his chosen vocation.

(3) The Programme incorporates knowledge of computers, software applications and communication
     skills that is a basic eligibility criteria for any kind of job in industry today.

(4) The Programme will provide students a meaningful and con-temporary education. The curriculum
     has been restructured in response to the changing environment and reflects current issues and
     concerns.


LIBRARY

The college has a well stocked fully computerised, air-conditioned, Library. It has three sections namely reference section, text book section and general section. The reading room provides news papers and magazines for general reading. It also provides scholarly journals and periodicals for consultation. Rules for the use of library are notified on the Notice Board by the Librarian from time to time.

The following scholarships are available on merit cum means basis:

(1) C.V.S. Teacher's Scholarship.

(2) Miss Ametoj Bali Scholarship - This scholarship instituted in the name of Ametoj Bali, a student of B.Com. (Hons.) 3rd year who died in a car accident, carries an amount of Rs.          1200/- per annum and is awarded to the 3rd year student standing first in the aggregate percentage for 1st & 2nd year, B.Com. (Hons.) examination.
