College of Technology and Engineering, [CTAE] Udaipur was started in 1964. The college is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education [AICTE]. It is affiliated to Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur.

The CTAE college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA and Doctorate courses for the students. The college has a dynamic curriculum and best academics for education.

The College of Technology and Engineering Udaipur infrastructure has the best campus with facilities like library, laboratories, hostel facility, canteen facility, sports facility etc, and they have their own Energy Engineering and Post-Harvest Technology workshops to handle Research & Development projects. 

The CTAE Udaipur ranking in the Northern region has been ranked as 'Outstanding Institution Award' by National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Chandigarh in the year 2013.

The institute apart from academic and education also provides good support in organizing cultural and technical fests, social activities, extracurricular activities, sports event and activities for the students to provide all-round exposure.

Central Library:

• The college has a well-equipped and spacious library with all the facilities for the students with a seating capacity of more than 200 members.
• It has a good stock of 59,000 volume of books, 96 e-books from McGraw Hill and 141 Pearson e-books.
• The library also has subscribed to ASCE, IEEE, ASME, J-GATE, Springer, CeRA, BIS Online etc.
• It also has facilities like a book bank with more than 35,000 books, reference service, circulation service, photocopying service, internet service, CD-ROM search service, OPAC service.

Laboratories:

• The CTAE college has state of art and well-equipped laboratories with modern instruments and systems for each department.
• The college also has a workshop for the mechanial engineering department with modern tools, machines and instruments to facilitate students with practical education and project work.

• The College of Technology and Engineering Udaipur Placements for students is provided by the Information and Placement Bureau [IPB].
• The cell invites companies, MNC's, and industries for the recruitment process.
• The bureau provides training in soft skills, technical skills, written tests, aptitude, online tests, group discussion, interviews, and personality development for the students.
• The cell organizes workshops and seminars by experienced industry personnel and organizations to help students to equip with current trends in technologies and management.
• The IPB cell has state of art facilities with a large air-conditioned presentation room equipped with LCD, a well-furnished ac interview room, phone and internet connectivity etc.

College of Technology and Engineering Eligibility Criteria:

Courses	Eligibility
B.Tech	The students must have passed 12th from the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other equivalent board. The students must have a minimum of 45% marks or 40% marks for the candidates with appropriate reservation. They should have a valid JEE Main score.
M.Tech	The candidate must have a qualifying degree with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade card. They should have a valid GATE score.
PhD	The candidates must have a master's degree with a minimum of 65% marks or equivalent grade.

College of Technology and Engineering Admissions:

• The CTAE Udaipur Admission for all the courses is done by applying online on the college official website.
• The candidates have to fill in all the necessary information and should attach the documents prescribed by the university and then submit.
• Admission to undergraduate courses is made on the basis of REAP [Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process] or on the score obtained in JEE Main.
• Admissions for M.Tech is depended on the score obtained in GATE.
• Admissions for Ph.D. is made through the written entrance test & later on the basis of Merit cum Interview, as per the rules fixed by the University.

• The CTAE college has separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls.
• The college has four boys hostels which accommodate around 355 students.
• It has two girls' hostels with accommodation of 160 girl students.
• It also has a separate hostel to accommodate 36 Ph.D. students.
• All the hostels are equipped with aqua guard water cooler, TV, geyser and well furnished common room.
