The College has an Information and Placement Bureau (IPB), functioning since 2001. The IPB caters to the needs of students in respect of their placement by inviting companies, MNCs/ Corporate and arranging on-campus recruitments for them; and also acquainting them about the emerging job trends globally. The bureau provides all technical facilities for presentations, written test, online test, group discussion and interviews to the recruiters. This Cell also coordinates various other activities related to personality development aspects like arranging technical talk of eminent managers from corporate and eminent professors from reputed institutes, arranging student-debates on current issues, presentations by students themselves on the subject of their interest. The bureau also invites, from time to time, professionals to the institute to deliberate as to how to prepare for the various competitive examinations like MBA, GATE, RAS, IAS etc. and helps students in selecting a good institute for further studies for a good career.
The students have to undergo practical/field training in the summer break of II & III year of their studies. The training is arranged and monitored by the in-charges of respective disciplines. However in Agricultural Engineering discipline in addition to this practical training, the experiential learning is intended to build practical skills and entrepreneurship among the graduates with aim to deal with work situations and for better employability and self employment. It will involve setting up of model plans for food processing and value addition for product diversification, setting up of workshops for manufacturing, operation and maintenance of farm machinery and equipment, maintenance and custom hiring of farm machinery and equipment.
