The atmosphere is conducive to various extracurricular activities, be it with IEEE(Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering) or environment club or Entrepreneurship Development Cell. The staff and students of Civil Engineering Department actively participate in the ICI(Indian Concrete Institute) CET activities. The college also has an active alumni association called CETAA(college of engineering Trivandrum alumni association). The cultural and technical fests present students with opportunities to showcase and hone their diverse skills.
The infrastructure of the college is well equipped to provide a number of facilities like workshops, labs, libraries, hostel, research programmes, central computing facilities and so on. The college is spread over a vast expanse of land. The civil engineering labs, especially the material testing lab is maintained in top shape. It boasts of highly expensive and good-quality machinery.
The college has a highly trained and experienced workforce. The teaching staff are well-qualified. Many of them have field experience and can impart the kind of wisdom a future engineer needs. The college has a Career Guidance and Placement Unit (CGPU), especially for this purpose. This organisation has a few teachers and student representatives from all departments as its members. It takes care of campus recruitment and also provides the students with information regarding various job opportunities. The unit also provides guidance and training programmes for students appearing for placements. It arranges for the students' various internship programmes as well.
Being a state government college, the fee for the college is comparatively very low. The admission fees, including the tuition fees for the first semester, is INR 11900. I got into Colege of Engineering Trivandrum in the year 2015. The admission procedure for the college follows the entrance examination common to all the state government engineering colleges in the state, the Kerala Engineering and Medical Entrance Examination KEAM. You have to be in the top ranks to be admitted to the college. My rank in the KEAM 2015 exam was 1462. I only got into the college in the third round of allotment. However, the departments like Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical and Electronics and Communication Engineering have a lower threshold for admitting students.
There will be management fests yearly. Also, there will be fests such as Dhwani, Drishti, Tharangam, etc.
There are both MH and LH allotted for a limited number of students. Others can opt for hostels or PGs outside. It'll cost Rs.4000-5000 per month. There are a vast library and a good quality of labs and classes in the campus.
The first trimesters will be general subjects that are required for every management student, and the rest of the trimester classes are based on the specialization that you've opted for. There is an excellent qualified teacher and their methodology of teaching will make you learn better.
It is trimester here and for each trimester you've to pay Rs.25000 as the fee. And totally it'll take only Rs.1,50,000 to complete the course.

Students can get admission to CET School of Management by taking examinations such as CMAT/ KMAT. I took CMAT for the admission. Students are selected based on the cut off marks they've put on for admission and then they'll be the group discussion and personal interview, considered for further selection.
Students are well behaved and they do support us in all the activities. Main festivals include the tech fest. Intercollege and all other.
Hostel life is awesome with less than INR 6000 as monthly fees. The library has wifi. The campus has not free wifi. Cost of food per day is INR 70.
Class starts at 9:00 am in the morning. There is enough internal exams, assignments, seminars, to keep us busy. Methods of teaching is high class.
Per semester fee for B.Tech is INR 20,000 at College of Engineering Trivandrum, Thiruvananthapuram. The scholarships are given to those who are deserving. No loans are needed to complete the course.

The admission is purely based on entrance exam conducted by entrance exam commissioner of Kerala (KEAM). It is one of the best engineering college and the first one in Kerala you need to secure a rank below 500 to get admission.

Now we are staying outside the hostel, good hostel, hostel fee per month is Rs 5300(INR). Quality of classroom is good. Labs are not in a good condition. The library is good. WiFi connection is not much helping, sanitary facilities and drinking water facilities are not properly functioning.
For pg students its like a school. The same class timing at 9.00 AM, projects, exams, assignments, site visits etc. Good teaching and guidance. Now, 6months experiences only.
