Placements & Internships : Internships are called Practice School (PS) at BITS. There are 2 internships - PS1 and PS2. The students go for PS1 during the summer vacations at the end of 2nd year. PS2 happens during either of the 2 semesters during the final year of college.  Top MNCs come for on-campus placements at BITS. Software companies such as Facebook, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, Wipro, etc. as well as consultancies such as Zinnov, McKinsey, Deloitte, etc. BITS is known for more than 95% placement. Salaries can range from 3LPA to 15LPA. Few people are lucky enough to get as high as 20LPA. BITS boasts of having the biggest and the most helpful alumni network. As we say, Once a BITSIAN, always a BITSIAN. This is indeed true. Wherever we go, we are helped by our seniors across the world. There are facebook groups such as 'BITSIANS for each other' and an alumni group called 'BITSAA' which helps alumni get connected with other alumni in their cities across various countries and states. Every year, 1st Saturday of August is celebrated as the BITSIAN's DAY. On this day, various meets are organised by BITSAA all over the world. Every alumnus can attend the one taking place in his/her city. Be it guidance about higher education or job or moving to another country or sharing a flat in another city, your BITS network will come in handy. Here, everybody likes helping each other. The feeling of being a BITSIAN connects us all. 

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The admissions to BITS-PILANI takes place only through its own entrance exam called BITSAT. It is solely based on merit.

Fees & Scholarships : Birla Institute of Technology and Science, [BITS] Pilani Management Fee Structure. Fees of SGT University is INR 1.5-2 lakhs per year. Merit-Cum-Need scholarship (MCN) is also given to those meritorious students who belong to the economically disadvantaged section of the Indian society. 

Academics & Faculty : Be it the chilly winter mornings when you can barely feel your hands or the moist hot days of summers, classes at BITS start at 8 a.m. in the morning and end in the evening at 5 p.m. The duration of each lecture is 50mins. 10mins at the end of each hour are given so that the students can go to their next class. Here, there is no fixed class. Rather, since the students make their timetable, choose their classes and professors on their own, they need to go to different classes for each subject. It is funny how you keep changing classrooms for each course. There are exams and weekly tutorial tests going on throughout the semester at the end of which there is a comprehensive exam for every course.  BITS has one of the best faculty and the methods of teaching are very different. They follow both print and digital media. Lectures are taken int he lecture hall with the help of the PPTs. Students read from these PPTs as well as books for every subject. Rote learning is not promoted. There are many experiments and lab courses that are conducted to give practical experiences to the students. 

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 13 guys hostels and 1 girls hostel inside the campus. There are no PGs inside or outside the campus. The hostels are very good with all the amenities and the fee is very minimal according to the facilities provided. Healthy and balanced food is provided in the mess. BITS boasts of having one of Asia's finest libraries. The infrastructure is overall good with nice classrooms, well-equipped labs and internet connectivity. 

Clubs & Associations : BITS believes in providing the overall development to the students. That is the reason there is always some activity, festival celebration or College fests going on in the campus. There are 3 major college fests: 1. BOSM (Sports Fest), 2. OASIS (Cultural fest), 3. APOGEE (Technical fest). Students from all over India participate in these fests. These are managed and run by various departments, clubs and associations in the campus. Students become a part of any of these depending on their area of interest. For instance, if someone likes singing, they join the Music club, if they like dancing, then Dance club, etc. Life at BITS-PILANI is very fun. There is always some or the other event happening on campus that you can never get bored.
