BITS Pilani Scholarship 2024 is offered to students based on various parameters. Students are selected mainly on the basis of their merit and their academic excellence. Socio-economic conditions and physically disabled candidates are also offered various BITS Pilani scholarships in order to help them pursue their academic degrees without any constraints.

BITS Pilani Scholarship Endowment Fund

BITS Pilani has an endowment fund which is used to award scholarships to deserving students.

• The institute aims to create an endowment of INR 2 crores, and students from a weaker financial background but with exemplary academic scores are eligible to apply for the scholarships.
• The endowment amount is kept as a fixed deposit amount, and the interest generated from the amount is used to fund the BITS Pilani scholarships.
• The family income of these students must not exceed INR 8 LPA.
• This Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani scholarship helps students complete their higher education without any financial constraints.
• Contributions for the scholarship are also welcomed. Furthermore, the contributions are totally exempted from taxes under Section 80G. 

BITS Pilani Women’s Scholarship Fund

The BITS Pilani batch of 1973-77/78 came together to create a sizable fund to support the higher education of five female students with a 100% tuition fee waiver. More details of the BITS Pilani scholarship include,

• A target of INR 5 crores is aimed as an endowment, which is used as scholarships for financially backward female students and offers them tuition-free education.
• In order to be eligible for this BITS Pilani Scholarship 2024, the girls must seek admission through the BITSAT examination.
• The student must study either a single or dual degree in STEM subjects.
• The family income of the students must not exceed INR 12 LPA.
• Students must note that they need to maintain a 7 CGPA in order for the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani scholarship to be continued in the next academic year.
• The student must not have any backlog and must not be found subjected to any disciplinary action.

BITS Pilani Merit Scholarship

The BITS Pilani Scholarship 2024 relies heavily on the merit of its enrolled students and rewards them accordingly. Every year, over 30% of the students are offered scholarships based on their financial status and academic performance.

As mentioned above, BITS Pilani scholarships are offered to meritorious but financially backward students with admirable academic scores. The CGPA cutoff is declared every year prior to opening the registrations for the scholarships.

Academic Rank Holders Scholarship

BITS Pilani scholarships are offered to students in the form of tuition fee waivers. In addition, during the academic year, students are offered a concession of 20% on their tuition fee if they maintain a CGPA of 9 or above.

BITS Pilani Financial Aids

Other than BITS Pilani scholarships, students are given various opportunities to earn money or be awarded funds for their education. The details of the financial aid available at BITS Pilani are mentioned below.

• Student Aid Fund: This scholarship is offered in the form of funding to help the students financially, and it is generally given out in the second semester of the academic year.
• Student's Welfare Division: Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani scholarship and financial aid applications are also forwarded to external agencies by the Student Welfare Division when a student has a particular need in order to assist them.
• Earn While You Learn Program: The Earn While You Learn Program runs several financial support programs, magazine distributions, service at the 'Akshay' store, and library services which the Community Welfare Unit administers. This program helps students make money while simultaneously pursuing their education.
• Professional Assistantship: Another way for students to earn money is by becoming a professional assistant to help with laboratory work, office work, and other tasks each semester. The instruction division is in charge of the assistantship's selection and smooth operation.
• For Physically Challenged students: Students with 40% or more disability are given a 15% tuition fee waiver in order to offer equal opportunities in higher education.
• Sibling Scholarship: In case a family has more than one child enrolled in BITS Pilani at the same time, the institute offers a 25% concession on the tuition fee to the second child until the first child graduates. 
• For Deceased Earning Family Member: In case the sole earning member of the student's family meets an untimely demise, then the BITS Pilani scholarship in the form of a 75% tuition-fee waiver is offered to the student to allow them to continue their education without any financial constraints.
