Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, [BMCRI] were started as a private college in the year 1955 by Mysore Education Society, in the year 1966 Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute was handed over to Mysore government and later affiliated to Bangalore University. The institute is now affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences [RGUHS].BMCARI has a well-established campus with facilities like Central library, It is one of the finest government medical colleges in Karnataka, Hostels, Central research laboratory, and other campus facilities.

BMCRI Admission 2023

Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute [BMCRI] accepts the NEET exam for MBBS admission, for UG and PG Nursing courses admissions are done based on the entrance exam conducted by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. For MD and MS courses, students who have completed MBBS can apply for admission, 50% of the seats are allotted for State Entrance Exam conducted by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and remaining 50% seats are allotted for All India  Entrance Exam conducted by Director General of Health Services. For Nursing and paramedical courses, students have to apply through Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute [BMCRI] official website.

BMCRI Application Form 2023

Application Form 2023 is available only for Nursing and paramedical courses in Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, [BMCRI] official website, the application form is available in the student section in the college website.

BMCRI Admission Fees

BMCRI has different courses and different fees structure for each course. The fees structure of the courses are given below:

  • For MBBS BMCRI fees structure is INR 70,170 is one-time admission fees and INR 70,170 tuition fee per annum.
  • BMCRI fees structure for MD and MS is INR 37,020 per annum, there are no admission fees for these courses.

Entrance Exams Accepted by BMCRI 2023

  • For UG courses, students have to apply through NEET UG medical scorecard for MBBS BMCRI admission 2023.
  • For PG courses, students can apply through NEET PG medical scorecard for MD AND MS BMCRI admissions.

BMCRI UG Admission 2023  

BMCRI UG admissions for MBBS is based on students' medical score in NEET UG conducted all India wide, to take admission in MBBS students have completed a minimum of 17 years of age at the time of admission. BMCRI also offers B.Sc in Nursing. 

BMCRI UG Admission Eligibility

Minimum eligibility for getting admission into MBBS is to pass in (10+2) in any recognized college and should have minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and have written NEET UG exam conducted all India wide. For B.Sc in Nursing students have to get minimum 45% marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 10+2 Examination.

BMCRI PG Admission 2023

BMCRI offers MS, MD, MCH, DM, M.Sc, for MD and MS students should have an MBBS degree certificate, the college offers  DM and M.Sc courses in Nursing, students seeking admission for MD and MS should have NEET PG scorecard.

BMCRI PG Admission Eligibility

For MS and MD BMCRI PG Admission Eligibility is to have an MBBS degree certificate from a medical college recognized by the Medical Council of India and have completed an internship and also merit in the NEET PG exam.

BMCRI  Diploma and Certificate courses Admission 2023

Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute also offer Diploma and Certificate courses where Diploma course is for 2 years and Certification course is for 3 years, DMLT (In Bowring Hospital) course is for 12 months and DMXT (In Bowring Hospital) is for 8 months. There are only 10 seats for each Diploma and Certificate courses.

The Eligibility for these courses is based on the Paramedical entrance test conducted by RGUHS, on the basis of entrance exam shortlisted students are invited for the counselling round.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : 2nd PUC should be above 55% and admission is done through interview. KCET & NEET Cutoffs is around 500.

Fees & Scholarships : The Course fee at Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute for M.B.B.S. per year differs from General to category. General Course fee per Semester or 6months is about INR 6-7k Category Course fee per semester or 6months is about INR 2k. Fees do not including hostel/canteen charges. Examination fees are extra and differ from year to year. Scholarships are subject to the number of candidates who apply and the ones that qualify but are usually a hectic ordeal. Loans are usually not needed but are easily available as this is a govt medical college with a very low fee structure.
