Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies and Research, Delhi Facilities

Campus

The institute took possession of a sprawling area of 8.5 acres (34,000 m2) in Geeta colony for a state-of-the-art campus with ultra-modern facilities and lush green ambiance in 2005. It started operating from the campus in 2008.

The foundation stone of the new campus was laid by Honorable Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dikshit on 24 May 2006.

Salient features the campus is equipped with are:

  • RO system for pure hygienic drinking water.
  • Full power backup for lights and fans (2x250 KVA DG set)
  • Rainwater harvesting system
  • Sewage treatment plant for recycling of waste water
  • Separate entrance ramps and toilets for physically challenged persons
  • Vacuum dewatered cement concrete roads
  • External finishing with GRC tiles and texture paint
  • Lift facility available
  • Central air conditioning system
  • Mini-auditorium
  • Well-equipped spacious and digital library
  • Well-equipped labs for under graduate and post graduate engineering students

  • Classrooms with state-of-the-art facilities

Library

Library is the soul of college where students can explore various new technological ideas and read books.  Library has 20168 no. of volumes, 3500 no. of titles and 500 CDs ROM. Library also subscribes 23 magazine and 9 newspapers.

  • The infrastructure of Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies and Research, New Delhi is good enough if we talk about building and area of the college. The college has a pretty good 3 and a half story building and has two lifts in building and one liftin ESS block of college. There is no hostel facility available in college. There are a lot of PGs around college which charge approx 10 to 15k rupees for 2 or 3 students, it depends on the PG owner. 
  • The college food is very poor because there is only one little canteen in our college and you can only samosa, sandwich and few chocolates there. 
  • The classroom is pretty good enough. The faculty rooms and labs in college are fully air-conditioned. But a system such as a computer and other things are in very bad condition. The college has no wi-Fi facility but college is working on this feature and now the college has got wi-Fi connection but it is not s
