CBSE Revaluation 2023: CBSE will declare class 12th results in the 3rd week of July 2023 (tentative). The results will be available online for students to download. As per the official notice, CBSE will open the CBSE revaluation 2022 portal by the end of July 2023 (tentative).

Kindly note that Rs. 100/- must be paid per question for the CBSE revaluation procedure. On the other hand, Verification of Marks cost Rs. 500/- whereas Photocopy of Answer Sheet cost Rs. 700/-. Check out the detailed timeline for revaluation in the following sections.

Moreover, the application fee for the Verification of Marks and Photocopy of Answer Sheets will be Rs. 500/- per paper and Rs. 700 per answer sheet, respectively. To clear the CBSE board exam, candidates should get a minimum of 33% in each subject and the overall aggregate. Therefore, students who fail to get a minimum score can apply for the CBSE revaluation 2023.

CBSE Verification of Marks

Talking about the first step, it is nothing but checking whether the marks counted were correct or not. In this method, the evaluator will check if all the answers were evaluated and if there was no mistake in totalling marks. Moreover, additional sheets that a student used will be cross-checked to make sure that the number of sheets mentioned in the main sheet is intact or not.

When all these steps are performed, the chances are that the student may get the deserved marks. The application form for the re-verification process has to be submitted within four days from the result declaration. Rs 500/- should be paid along with the form as an application fee.

How to Apply for Verification of Marks?

Here are the step-by-step instructions to apply for verification of marks under the CBSE revaluation 2023:

Step 1: Visit the application portal for CBSE www.cbse.gov.in and proceed to Main Website.

Step 2: Look for "Apply for Verification of Marks" in the "Latest Updates" section.

Step 3: Online application form will be opened to fill in all the details correctly.

Step 4: After entering all the details, click on the "Submit" button.

Step 5: Pay the fees via payment gateway or e-challan.

CBSE Photocopy of Evaluated Answer Sheets

Even after verifying marks, if the student is still not satisfied with the valuation, there is an option to get a hard copy of their answer sheet. This method has a significant advantage for students as they witness how the answer sheet is evaluated. In addition, if the students find any mistakes in calculating the marks, they can get them corrected by the regional CBSE office. 

Finally, besides the calculation mistakes, students can challenge the board to recheck the answer sheets if the marks awarded are fewer than they should be. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) could not conduct the examinations this year. As a result, there are no photocopies of answer sheets available on the portal.

The final step in the CBSE revaluation process is the revaluation of the answers. If both methods mentioned above do not work, the candidate's last and final option is to re-evaluate individual answers. There is a limit to the number of solutions that can be rechecked. A student cannot apply for more than ten questions to re-evaluate. For rechecking a single question, it costs Rs.100/-. 

The fee paid will be refunded if there is an increase in the marks after the evaluation. If a student is not confident enough to get fewer marks than deserved, try to avoid revaluation. The money will not be refunded if the marks after rechecking remain unchanged or lesser than before. The re-evaluation procedure is similar to acquiring a copy of answer scripts.

However, it is essential to remember that the CBSE revaluation process may increase, decrease, or not change the marks obtained. Therefore, students should fill out the application form without any mistakes since it will lead to the rejection of the application form.
