The application process for MBBS, BDS, BHMS are as follow:
The applications are available in GMCH website. The candidate has to fill this online application and submit it once done. There is no option to print the form.
The candidate has to fill a single form for MBBS, BDS, and BHMS and select multiple courses within the same form.
Candidate must submit printouts along with necessary annexures separately for each course.
Candidates must bring an original set of documents at the time of counseling.
The application process for MD and MS are as follow:
Category of reservation should be entered in the prescribed column in the application form. No addition of the category of a reservation will be allowed once the form is submitted.
After submitting the application form online, one printout with self-attested photocopies applicable with annexed details should be submitted personally or sent by post/courier to the college.
Admission will be made strictly on the basis of merit/rank obtained in NEET - UG for all undergraduate courses.
The eligible candidates' names will be displayed on the college website only they can get admission in GMCAH Chandigarh.
Sequence of counseling for General Category seats first followed by the Reserved Catagory seats.
15% seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste ( SC ).
Admission will be made strictly on the basis of merit obtained in NEET 2019-pg.
Only candidates whose names appear in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) are eligible for admission to MBBS / BDS / BHMS courses. They should get merit scores in NEET 2019 2019
Every candidate seeking admission should have attained the age of 17 years as on 31st December of the year of admission.
Only Indian candidates are eligible under Indian quota.
A candidate must pass Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, and English in the 12th standard or any equivalent examination to be eligible for Government Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh admissions 2019.
A candidate must secure minimum marks in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Biotechnology, and English in 12th class as follows:
General Category ( 50% )
SC/ST ( 40% )
The persons with Disability Category ( 45% )
The candidates must secure merit in NEET (UG) as follow:
General Category ( not less than 50% )
SC/ST ( not less than 40% )
Eligible criteria for all Indian quota and State quota are as follow:
Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.
A general category candidate has must secure merit of 50% in NEET-PG and SC category candidates must secure minimum 40%.
Candidates should complete a rotary internship of one year.
Registration with MCI / State Medical Council is compulsory.
