College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Hostels are sufficient in number in Government Medical College and Hospital, [GMCAH] Chandigarh. Annual fees of a hostel are Rs. 15,000. PG's are sufficient around the campus( not that you would need them). Food is not that good. It costs Rs. 40 per plate. Wifi is soon to be available on our campus. While the library is open for 12 hours (8 am to 8 pm).

Entrance Exams & Admissions : We get admission in GMCH through AIPMT or NEET exam. 85% seats are reserved for the Chandigarh students(those who have done 10th and 12th from a school of Chandigarh) while rest 15% are for all India quota. The typical cut-off for Chandigarh goes high (AIR ranks 100-120 get admission here) but that depends on many factors and varies.

Placements & Internships : We have to do an internship through college only (6 months in our hospital while other 6 months from other hospitals). Alumni network is very good in Government Medical College and Hospital, [GMCAH] Chandigarh.

Fees & Scholarships : The Course Fee for MBBS in Government Medical College and Hospital, [GMCAH] Chandigarh is INR 20,000 per year. The scholarships are given to top 3 students and their fees is refunded.

Academics & Faculty : Classes are scheduled from 9 AM to 5 PM in Government Medical College and Hospital, [GMCAH] Chandigarh. The quality and methods of teaching are good. All classes are smart classes and are well furnished. All in all, college is good.

Clubs & Associations : Societies and all are not that prevalent in our Government Medical College and Hospital, [GMCAH] Chandigarh. We have an annual fest, Euphoria, held in Feb, which is the largest medical festival of North India. Plus we have another annual fest plexus which we observe in September every year. Sports week is also observed here. Life, in general, is good we students live as a family here.
