Hello! My name is Anshul. I'm pursuing B.Sc.(hons.) in Mathematics. For admission in Delhi University you must have passed your 12th board examination with good Percentage. Admission procedure is based on entrance and merit. But University does not conduct entrance examination for all courses except B.Tech., buisness courses, social sciences & humanities. Most of the admission took place under merit based. But you must have meet the cut-off percentage released by the university for a particular course or in which you want to take admission. You can calculate your Cut- off percentage by your best four subjects ( one language + PCM) in boards for all courses. If you are changing your stream i.e. from science to arts in Graduation then 2.5% of your marks would be deducted from best of fours. Cut - off is based on the results of 12th board CBSE and can go high or low accordingly.
I studied physical science chemistry in ANDC. To be eligible for this course you need to have science background in 12th. You need to apply through a common admission form that is available in certain colleges, then you've to apply the colleges of your choice. There is no entrance test for addmission all will depend on the college cut off marks to be matched with yours. Previous year it was around 85%. All the best
Admission is done on the basis of merit and entrance. For any entrance related notification visit www.du.ac.in. In case of merit-based admission, if you meet the cut-off of our respective college and course(which can be checked on each college's website), then you need to reach the college with required documents and secure your admission. As for my course i.e. B.sc(H), Maths cut off is usually 94+ for general category. Keep visiting the college's website www.andc.du.ac.in during the release of cut off.
The minimum eligibility criteria, however, depending on the different type of courses. However, the lowest cutoff till now is 78% of physical science. There is also the entrance for BTech in this college for computer science
No entrance exam is required for the admission because the admission was done on the basis of merit only. The cut-off for the admission was 90% in 12th.
