The mechanical department here at Chandigarh University never leaves a stone unturned in terms of placements and internships. In 2019, nearly 95% of our seniors got placed in many reputed companies like Godrej, LIDO, Mahindra, Honda, Hyundai, L&T, IndiGo, Maruti Suzuki, Byju, Royal Enfield, etc.
The average package offered was INR 6.5LPA and the highest package was INR 10.5 LPA in Mechanical Engineering.
The department conducts TPP sessions that stand for the Training & Placements Program. In these sessions, the students can learn about the latest trends and modernization in industrial sectors as well as IT sectors. Through these sessions, students can enhance the skills of communication and corporate management.
There are a total of 13 boys hostel and 5 girls hostel.
Hostel Fees is INR 42,000 per semester.
Chandigarh University has strictly adhered to the hygiene level while maintaining its infrastructure. The hostels are in perfect condition. The university offers a range of rooms, both AC and non AC. There is a provision for the internet, music room, and common room. The hostels have a fully equipped gym and different courts for Volley Ball, Basket Ball, and Badminton
The main concern of students is the hostel food. If you have planned to choose Chandigarh University, you need not worry about food. The University hostels provide the best quality food with a wide range of menu.
Since I am pursuing B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Chandigarh University. I am currently in the second year of my degree.
The eligibilty criteria for taking admission and pursuing this course, you must have scored at least 55% of marks in your 10+2 or intermediate courses.
You can also appear for CUSAT which is also a scholarship entrance exam conducted by the university only. 60% or above marks in CUSAT is also considered for admission.
Initially, the fee structure looks expensive but when compared to other private institutions and facilities provided, then this fee structure looks reasonable.
During admission, we have to pay INR 10,000 but it is later adjusted in the tuition fees.

I haven't availed any sort of scholarships but yes there is a scholarship facility that is based upon your performance in class 12th, intermediate, JEE scores, or CUSAT scores.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria are intermediate with 60% marks. I took the CUCET test. The CUCET is too tough and it's equivalent to other entrance exams.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria are not so tough, most of the student whose dream is to study in CU can easily pursue his/her graduation from there.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : For admission you need to appear in JEE mains or CUCET which is Chandigarh University Common entrance test. Scoring good in JE or CUCET will let you get scholarships also
