Placements and Internships

2.5

I have yet to experience the placement process in this university but I do know that no good companies come for campus placements and the average salary is 2.5 Lakh per annum, most students in my batch are opting for off-campus placements.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

3

There are two hostels on the campus ( one for boys the other for girls), I don't live in the hostels so I can't provide much information about them, but from my classmates I do know that the hostel infrastructure is very poor and lacks attention to sanitation(there's even been I strike die to this). The food is of higher quality than those provided in most other institutions, the first one is free and the students need to pay extra for more. The classrooms are not very well maintained and the walls are filled with students notes from which many, including my own batch mates, cheat. The teachers in charge during examinations or class tests do not seem to take note of this. The lab is mostly well maintained but some lack of equipment and the computer lab has no computers in proper working condition. The Wi-Fi is not provided to students in the first year so no comments on that. The library is greatly funded and maintained and is very helpful for students.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

The admission process was an in-person Counselling on the university campus, despite the timings being 1 PM to 2 PM, due to multiple quotas the time was dragged on till 5 PM before the general category was called. The admission was based on JEE MAIN examinations as well as CBSE board results. Students up-to rank 4.3 Lakh got admitted, though some classmates claim there were other Counsellings, later on, I'm unaware of those!

Academics and Faculty

2

Most of the teachers are highly knowledgeable of their subject but the teaching quality is quite low. The focus is more on book learning than practical work. Though I am in the first year at the time hence the college may just be giving a brief explanation of all other fields, the teaching has little to do with the department( I'm in CSE). But it must be noted that despite only one subject being oriented towards computer programming, the teaching for it is on a way higher level than that of all others.

Fees and Scholarships

1

Fee per year is 70,000, 30k for even semesters and 40k for odd ones. There aren't many scholarship options available (I have browsed the website), and those that are are of little to no help in the payment of the fee. Loans aren't usually necessary for fee payment.

Clubs and Associations

4

There are multiple student society and clubs in the campus for students to participate in, they actively that part in college activities and provide students of all fields projects in their fields and occasionally organise workshops. The teachers are very helpful and motivate students to participate in extracurricular activities. The main problem is the prevalence of students' unions in the campus, they run uncontrolled and cause problems throughout the university for the fulfilment of their unnecessary demands. In my experience, they have caused multiple strikes almost every other week, once during the exams promoting its delay, and caused a batch to lose 3 of its MP(Manufacturing Practices) lab days. The main festival is Crispolatia, this involves events for all departments participated in by both teachers and students.
