Vivek Sahu's Review on CMR Institute of Technology, Bangalore

I got an internship at Picktail. The stipend was 2k per month. Companies from different domains e.g. IT, Manufacturing, Finance, Marketing, Sales, etc. come to our college for hiring students. The average salary offered by them is 5 LPA (min. 3.5 and max was 18 LPA). Companies like IBM, WIPRO, MINDTREE, VMWARE, TEXAS INSTRUMENTS, ORACLE, etc. visited this year. Highest salary was offered by Vmware i.e. 18 LPA to 2019 batch students. Alumni network is also good, almost all the companies in Bengaluru have CMRIT alumni working there. 

there are 2 hostels for boys and one for girls. Hostel fee is 1.2 lakhs per year for 2 sharing room. It is 1.3 lakhs for a single sharing room. a lot of pg's are there near the college. The avg rent in the pg's is 5k per month for 3 sharing rooms, 6k per month for 2 sharing rooms. Food is good in the college canteen which costs 40/- per meal. Quality of classrooms is good, labs are well structured and spacious as well. The library is very big with accessibility to 6000 books of various subjects, free wifi is there on the college premises. 

Eligibility:

60% marks in 10th and 12th from any recognised board/university.

Admission Procedure:

give COMEDK, CET or Jee Main Exam. Apply for CMRIT  in counselling. Admission can be taken through management quota as well.

For getting admission in CMRIT(CSE) comedk rank should be below 20,000. Through CET  it should be below10,000. Through Jee main it should be below 70,000.

Classes start from morning at 8 AM and last till 4 PM. Projects are mandatory in some semesters basically in 3rd year. Assignments will be given after completion of every module, in a total of 5 assignments per subjects. Quality of teaching is good, students can clear all their doubts in or after the class. Overall experience in college is above average.

Course fee for COMEDK students is 1.75 Lakhs/Year for students took admission in 2015. For students admitted through the CET exam, it is 60k per year. Scholarship of 42k will be provided by the Karnataka Govt. for sc/st students. Other students can apply for a scholarship provided by college e.g. CMR memorial scholarship, CMR leadership award, Sports, etc. Out of 1500 students, only 15 will be selected for scholarship on the basis of their merit. Students can avail the loan from many banks, the college will provide a bonafide certificate. Students need to submit the fee receipt of college fees to get the loan. 

There are at least 2 clubs in each department which schedule meeting once in every 15 days. The main festivals in the college are Cultura, ethnic day and all the Kannada festivals are celebrated in the campus with cheers. Life in college is much more enjoyable.
