Ankita Tiwari's Review on PES Institute of Technology, [PESIT] Bangalore

Being in the fourth year,I am currently pursuing an Internship at GetMyUni with a stipend of Rs.5000/month.The college takes into account the interests
of its students and offers quality opportunities for both Full time Employment and Internships.The renowned comapnies visiting the campus are Microsoft,Amazon,Myntra,Goldman Sachs,Amadeus,Mercedes,Morgan Stanley,to name a few.These offer Full Time employment and internship in a plethora of domains such as IT,Finance,Marketing,Manufacturing etc.
The university boasts of 100% placements with an average package of 5 lakhs per annum.For the current year,the highest package soared upto 39.2 lakhs per annum which was offered by Microsoft.
The PES website supports the alumni network.All a student needs to do is create an account on the PESU website and you can connect with the alumni.

The infrastructure of the South Campus is even better than the Main Campus.The campus is huge and beautiful and provides accommodation as well.The campus has a well built library enriched with a number of books, catering to the interests of the students.The only issue with the accommodation facility is that there is one Boys Hostel in the campus but the Girls Hostel is located at a distance of about 10 km from the campus.The hostel fee for both boys and girls is 1 lakh per year which includes bus and food facilities(food is usually decent).

PES University South Campus,formerly known as Pes Institute of Technology,South Campus is one of the most redeemed institutions in Karnataka.
The eligibility criteria for  Bachelor of Technology(BTech) in PESU ELECTRONIC CITY CAMPUS-
60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent in science stream from a recognized Board. Based on the cutoffs, adequate Test scores in PESSAT(National Level Entrance Exam) and KCET(State Level Entrance Exam for Candidates having Karnataka state domicile) is required.
Admission Procedure-
It is required of the candidate to take up PESSAT/KCET or both(if eligible) and participate through counseling to compete for a merit-based seat based on the rank secured in PESSAT/KCET. Provisional blocking of seats through Management Quota/PIO/OCI/NRI is also possible.
To get a seat in the Computer Science Branch, the cut-off is around 850 to 900 as per the last year pattern.

The colllege starts at 8 am sharp and all classes are dismissed by 3:30 pm.Besides the core subjects,students are given an opportunity to explore their skills through various projects and assignments.The university provides quality education and focusses on the overall development of the students,thus, justifying their motto which states Excellence,Service and Perseverance.
The staff is well educated and very helpful.Though it is a bit strict as compared to other colleges,the experience is not regretful.

The college does not promote many extra curricular activities but it does have an interesting club called Avionics for car building.Besides this,there are upcoming clubs such as the Rotoract Club and Quiz Club.The college hosts one Technical fest(Prakalpa) and one very famous Tech-Cultural fest called MAAYA annually.The overall experience is great and if you are looking forward to pursue a career in Computer Science,PESU South Campus is a decent choice.
