This is one of the strongest points of DCE- great placements and a huge alumni network. I was an above average student indulged in projects too. I got a decent placement in BAJAJ AUTO PVT. LTD.on the very first day of placement session. Companies from varied industries visit the campus all year around- technical as well as non technical and placement is almost guaranteed if you are elligible for it.
Infra is another thing where DCE/DTU scores great. You get air-conditioned lavished library and computer centre, air conditioned classrooms, central canteen, state of the art campus with open air theatre in the centre and a fully equipped sports complex and gym. Located in rohini sector-17, there is not much problem of public transport as it is well connected with bus and metro.
Initially in first year, you get to study about practically all the types of engineering, from information technology to mechanical. Then from second year onwards, you board your main train. Theory and practical classes goes hand by hand. While in higher years, relevance of projects starts.Methodology of teaching is conventional- white board and marker. Classes timings are generally 9-5 with some breaks in between from monday to friday.
College fee is constantly increasing, currently being at INR 99,000 per month. Being a government owned University, fee concessions are given to students who are below poverty line.
There are various clubs and societies for various interest group personnals. There are technical clubs and teams like DTU SOLARIS, TEAM DEFIANZ, BAJA, UAV etc. There are non technical societies also like photography society, drama club, music club, dancing club, debating club etc.
Sports infra is nice as there is fully equipped sports complex with cricket field, football field, tennis court, indoor badminton court etc and a fully equipped gym.
