No internships but Industrial training. The companies were NTPC, BHEL, and EIL. The key role was helping the mentors in their work and learning along with that about the working of the stations, departments and the pipelines(in BHEL) and Engineering Drawings (EIL). Average salary: INR 4 lacs per annum, Highest: INR 17 lacs per annum(core) Percentage: 100%(who set for placement) Alumni network is poor here.
5 hostels with INR 20000 per year. PGs options are many but costly, around INR 10000 per month. Food in college is neutral. Cost is not that high. Quality of infrastructure is good. Labs need a little renovation and more fund.
Eligibility criteria: Having a minimum of 75% in 12th and 10th and passing IIT JEE Mains. Admission procedure included evaluation of the final score of JEE Mains and formulating a list based on the ranks. We had to pick our choices of the subject and according to the ranks, the choices were allocated to the better student. 5 such rounds were held and after that, a final seat filling round followed a month after the classes began. Entrance exam: IIT JEE Mains Cutoffs: For mechanical, INR 20000 was the cutoff for general, INR 35000 for obc, INR 100000 for sc and INR 30000 for st.
The daily routine is so poor for day scholars. Quality and method of teaching are poor here. Overall experience is really disappointing.
INR 87000 is the fee per year. No scholarship was available for general students except the Jindal scholarship. On average, it's negligible. Loans are needed according to the student, the college provides for account openings in the college itself for college loans etc.
There are unlimited societies here, can't name them all. Main fests are Engifest, Tech fest and Sports Fest here. Life in college is not good for day scholars but for hostellers, it's amazing.
