As a student of the first autonomous batch, I would say if you are looking for an IT job that offers Rs. 3.2 lakh per annum heritage is the best option for you but if you want to get a job in core companies like IOCL, HPL, or at any cement companies better to search other colleges because the percentage of students be placed in core sectors from heritage is average.
Hostel facility is available. Boys hostel is a few minutes away from college building but girls hostel is just seconds away. No of PGs are there outside of the college you will get PG at such a reliable price. Canteen foods are good but prices are slightly higher than market prices. Classrooms, labs, libraries are well furnished.
If you are willing to do your engineering after higher secondary in heritage Institute of Technology, you need to pass WBJEE with a rank around 3000 - 11,000(depends on which stream you want to go with) you can also get admission by clearing JEE MAIN. Online counselling is conducted for admission like others college in West Bengal.
College starts sharply at 9.00 am will continue up to 4-5 pm depending on routine break time is from 11.45 am to 12.20 pm. You will get a lot of assignments which will help you to understand the subject in a better way. You will have a project in a 4th year. Exam structure has two internals and one final semester each internal contains 30 marks and final semester is of 70 marks. Now come to the point that is the method of teaching, less interesting. Overall you will get a friendly and good atmosphere inside college premises.
Heritage offers a scholarship for all students whose family income is under 2.5 lakh per year(not applicable for government employees) for that you need to submit income certificate, having more than 80% attendance. You might get 100% scholarship depend on the conditions mentioned above. But for those don't get scholarship semester fees be like Rs. 40, 000 - 45, 000 per semester.
As I am not a part of any clubs I can't tell you the names but there are clubs for painting, acting, dancing, singing, photography and many others. Due to some unknown reasons, there had not been any fest for this year but Eclicia been always so exciting and popular among students.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Passing rank in either West Bengal Joint Entrance examination( WBJEE) or JEE Mains and 60% in class 10 and 12 is important. I took WBJEE.
