If you are in cse stream then ur average package is never decided because it could increase to any extent depending upon your uniqueness.....there comes core teams for 9 pointers. And the average salary for other branches is INR7-INR8 lacs.

There are three hostel divided on the category like gender, year of course and your course. And the average fee for hostel is INR90000. but if u wanna opt for outside staying then it is better too...there are many flats near vit to stay at an average rate of 9000 for 2 bhk. Food in the hostel is close to satisfactory but they try there best and respects your opinion over the meal. There amenities and infrastructure is fine enough. Library is well structured and really a nice place to study.

If u want admission then u need to go for VITEEE , it is the official exam held for admission in vit campuses. Ur rank decides the availability of the campus and the stream at the time of counselling. Ur rank also decides the date at which your counselling will be held. There is no specific range of rank under which admission is possible. There are categories of admission in which fees of admission increases as the category you are taking admission in increases.

In daily routine according to your rank in viteee and attendance you will be given preference in choosing your timetable...in general there will be on average 5 hours of college a day and weekends are off. Quality and method of teaching totally depends on your interest and the teacher. In a nutshell u will enjoy it

In 2017-2018 year..fees for mechanical branch is INR1,98000 for 1st category in chennai campus. Scholar ships are given to people under 5000 and 2000 ranks. Your marks in viteee is never revealed, only your rank is displayed. Medium class families like me go for loan .. and it is not hard to go for study loan. Saying after my experience....i india you cannot take more than INR10,00,000 as study loan

There are a lot of clubs available in every course and it will be necessary to choose one club in 2nd year. Every club perform at good levels. For mehanical there are offroad, f1 and some other clubs which go to competitive stages too. In vit the main festivals are VIBRANCE, RENAISSANCE, TEHNOVIT. All these activites make it a good experience to live
