Currently this year by now 200 students have been placed from the college. Microsoft came first and took 9 students with the package of INR 9.5 lakh, Subutex took one with INR 15 lakh. Then comes the kpit, Infosys, Wipro, l&t infotech, Capgemini, MindTree and some more IT-based companies who took almost 180-190 students with the average package of INR 3.5- 4 lakh.
Hostel facility in NMIT is good. The rooms and other allowance but the food is worst. The college provides outside hostels who do not get rooms in the college hostel. But again the fee is very high, especially for outside hostels. But the environment in hostels is pleasant and very enjoyable. The hostel was located near inside the campus only. 2 people can share one room. All facility was made available for Gym, TV, hot water. There was also an ATM nearby. Sundays students can go out. For the hostel students mess was separate and quality food was given.
Aspirants must have passed 2nd PUC / 12th standard or equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and obtained 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology. In case of candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes (Category I, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.
Girls in NMIT are very few and very pretty too. The ratio of girls is less because it is an engineering college. No politics allowed in NMIT, no such groups like ISU and NSUI exist in our college. Students always are on and they do not care for others.
For kcet, it's around INR 81k and for comedk 211k. No loans are provided by the college but a scholarship of INR 10000 to a student who occupies the 1st rank in all the semesters.
Campus life was relaxing. There were sports day, exhibitions, seminars, even DJ party wherein we could take part. Female-male ratio was almost equal and we had students from both north and south India. We used to treat everyone as equal as we all went to campus for studies and you don't have time for any kind of misunderstanding.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : I got admission to the college through the DCET. I scored 2500 ranking in DCET and got a seat for ECE department.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria is as per the state government regulation. Applicants need to be from science background with Physics, Chemistry, Maths being compulsory subjects in their +1 and +2. And should have cleared the same with minimum of 60% marks. But the real entrance cut off is based on the competitive exams taken up by the applicant. The exams can be either CET,ComedK,JEE. The cutoff keeps varying every year and same can be cross checked. But certain number of seats will be allocated for each category of seats.
Academics & Faculty : I will always be indebted to my faculty at NMIT for the support and guidance that I have got throughout my years at NMIT. I had options of other colleges during my counseling, I had chosen NMIT after considering various nominal factors and references. After my graduation, I can definitely say that it was the right choice. The faculty, the facilities, and placement support have good quality. My experience at NMIT has been great.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : You have to write KCET or COMEDK for admission with fewer fees either management quota is available at good price and I wrote KCET with 7900 ranks and that's why I got this college this course you can get for 10000 rank in 2nd round with ease.
