Placements and Internships

2.5

I'm in 1st-year that's why I don't know much about placements in Daulat Ram College. But according to what I heard, studied and found, placements in DRC are average. The average salary is about 25 - 30k(INR) per month, about 40-50% students get selected. Companies like E&Y, IDBI Bank, etc. come for placements.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

2.5

The infrastructure of all the DUs is average and not so good. Many colleges of DU has the hostel in it and the fees in hostels are around 8k(INR) to 15k(INR), per month. And similar is the case of PGs, in north and south campus of DU, there are many PGs available in the same amount of money. Food and its quality is also an average thing in DU and especially in DRC, it is below than average. Infra, canteens, hostels and all these facilities depend upon the colleges of DU.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

The eligibility criteria to enter into a Delhi University College is generally merit based. All the courses have merit as their criteria except BMS, BFIA, BBE and some other courses. The cut-offs are generally very high in DU. For subjects like eco hons. and BCom. Hons, cut-offs this year was between 90% to 98% in best of four subjects along with maths in all the colleges of DU.

Academics and Faculty

2.5

Classes in DU starts from 8:30 am generally and continues until 5:00 pm or 6 pm, depending on the course and year of study. Quality of teaching is average, there are many projects and assignments which we have to complete along with the other activities we take part in, to get good marks in semester exams. Overall experience in a DU is good, there are a lot of activities along with academics which will help a student to enjoy his/her life in their teenage.

Fees and Scholarships

3.5

Because DU is a university under central government, so fees their is very low. Between Rs10,000(INR) to Rs 25,000(INR) is the fees for all the courses in DU. There is no need for loans for such a minimum amount. There is nothing like scholarships for students of the general category but for other categories, there is a reduction in the fee amount or maybe there is no fee if they apply.

Clubs and Associations

4.5

In general life in a DU is good. All the colleges, especially in north and south campus, have many clubs and societies in them. They take care of student's capabilities and competitiveness. From fashion to sports society, from union elections to Dusu elections, DU colleges have every kind of activity and competitions, a student wishes to participate in. Overall festivals, clubs, and societies are that part of DU colleges which differs them from other colleges.
