Placements and Internships
GATE qualified candidates get a monthly stipend of INR 12,400. Both core and no core companies hire for B.Tech students but there are not many placements for M.Tech students.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
Presently there are 3 boys hostels and one girl hostel. Hostel fee is INR 20,000 per semester including mess fee. If you don't want to take food from the hostel, you can buy from outside and pay the hostel rent only which is only INR 2500 per semester.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
The eligibility criteria for doing M.Tech Automotive Engineering in NIT Agartala should be a BE/B.Tech pass out in either Mechanical or Automobile Engineering. GATE is the required exam to get admission in M.Tech. The typical GATE cutoff ranges from 500 and above for Gen category and 350and above for other categories.
Academics and Faculty
Classes starts from 9.30 am to 5.15. pm. The method of teaching in NIT is quite OK. It all depends on the hardwork of the student.
Fees and Scholarships
The course fee for M.Tech is around INR 40,000 per semester. Every M.Tech students get a monthly stipend of INR 12,400. Loans are not required as fees can be cover up by the stipend.

Life in NIT Agartala is so good and everyone will remember those 4years in B.Tech or 2 years in M.Tech.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria are to qualify in the national level admission test JEE mains 2013. We need to have 50 percentage of minimum in tenth standard and plus 2 to be eligible to join the college. The cutoff ranks for my branch were around 50000 AIR for open category 80000-90000 for an obvious category . And it was 120000 for SC and st candidates
