Placements and Internships

  • Internships are quite common in YMCA University of Science and Technology.
  • The college provides enough opportunities for the students to excel in their field. Key companies that come to our college are Amazon India, Sapient Global, Bluestar, Daikin and many public sector companies.
  • Average salary figures range from Rs. 2.50 lakhs per annum to Rs. 3.50 lakhs per annum, the highest package is Rs. 16.50 lakhs per annum and percentage of placement is above 80%.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

  • Two hostels at YMCA University of Science and Technology i.e. One each for boys and girls.
  • The infrastructure of these hostels as well as the whole college is bad. The buildings are age old and walls are shredding plaster.
  • Hostel fee is Rs. 330 per month.
  • There are many PGs outside the college campus and their rent ranges from Rs. 4,000 per month to Rs. 10,000 per month.
  • The food in the hostel mess is not very bad its tastes good and costs Rs. 40 per meal if you are a non-hosteller and for hostellers the monthly bill is Rs. 2,200.
  • Classrooms and Labs are at their worst furniture is in bad condition. But the library is one of the best in Faridabad.
  • There is continuous wifi connectivity within the campus with speed up to 10mbps per user.
  • Water quality is bad. Cleanliness is fine in college.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • Eligibility criteria for YMCA University of Science and Technology was appearing in IITJEE (mains).
  • Cutoffs for admission in various courses starts from 250(approx) marks for general category for CE Branch to 50(approx) marks for SC category for EIC branch.

Academics and Faculty

  • The daily routine in YMCA University of Science and Technology is quite a full day consuming from 8:15 to 5:30. We get a break of one hour in between.
  • Professors give us plenty of projects and assignments to work upon and exams are taken at regular intervals.
  • The overall experience in college is quite satisfying.

Fees and Scholarships

  • Per year course fee in YMCA University of Science and Technology is Rs. 70,000 for Btech.
  • Many scholarships are available to students from the government and NGO's. About 30% students get at least one of these scholarships.
  • Loans are generally not needed but you can take a loan from the branch of IOB inside the college itself.

  • There are many clubs in YMCA University of Science and Technology there are cultural as well as technical and sports clubs.
  • Students are provided ample opportunities to excel in extracurricular activities as well.
  • The main college fest is the Elements Culmyca which is organized on a large scale.
  • College life here is pretty awesome.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Entrance exam to be given is JEE Mains. Admission procedure involves the Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) counselling. This is an online counseling that has four rounds. First three are online and the last round is a manual counselling that takes place in Ambala. Each college can have their own spot round depending on the number of seats left.  Any student who has passed 12th standard from a recognized board and has appeared for JEE Mains is eligible for admission. Cutoff depends on the branch you apply for.
