J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad popularly known as YMCA University of Science and Technology, Faridabad, YMCA Institute of Engineering, Faridabad was established in the year 1969, as a joint venture of the National Council of YMCAs of India, Govt of Haryana, and the Central Agencies for Development Aid, Bonn, Germany. YMCA is located in the sprawling Faridabad-Ballabgarh Industrial complex. It started as an Indo-German project with an aim to impart technical education to a developing India on German pattern. The labs & workshops have been set up with the assistance of German expertise. In 1996, State Govt. of Haryana took complete control of the Institute and upgraded it to University status in Dec. 2009.

The university offers a 4-year B.Tech degree course in seven disciplines . YMCA university has added new chapters in it’s glorious history i.e M.B.A., M.C.A, M.Tech. (Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering & Mechanical Engineering), M.Sc. (Physics, Maths, Chemistry & Environmental Sciences), M.A.(Mass Communication and Journalism) and Ph.D. It follows it’s course curriculum duly approved by the industries and the University. The salient features of German education have been retained & as such the University stands apart from other colleges of Haryana. Right from the very beginning at institutional level, it has emphasized greatly on practical work related to industry. As a result our students are well accepted by the industries. The fact that many of them are entrepreneurs with names of repute at national and international level establishes the same.

The institution provides various facilities for the students to make campus life memorable and to create an apt atmosphere to induce better learning. The infrastructure in the college is categorized into academic facilities and other facilities. The academic facilities include smart class rooms, laboratories, library, auditorium, seminar halls etc. The other facilities provided by the college are hostel, sports, dispensaries, bank, post office, day care centre and many more. University Library has a rich collection of more than 81 thousand volumes in the stream of Engineering, Technology, Sciences and Management. It follows the Open Access System. Library is also subscribing to a good number of journals, magazines and newspapers for its readers. It is well equipped with modern technology like the Internet, Bar Code technology etc. The library is automated with the Library Automation Software Libsys. Every member has been provided a Bar Coded Library Membership Card. Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is available to locate the reading material in the library. The library is a member of DELNET and E-Shodhsindhu Consortium. The library has subscriptions of e-resources from SpringerLink, Taylor and Francis, Economic & Political Weekly, ASME, Science Direct (Engg. & Computer Science collection), World ebook Library and Asian Archive. The college has smart classrooms equipped with systems, projectors, audio systems etc for better teaching - learning process. Each department has a separate laboratory facility giving equal practical exposure to the students. The auditorium and seminar halls are used for conducting cultural programs, lectures, conferences, motivational speeches etc. Hostel facilities are provided for both boys and girls within the campus premises with all the basic requirements.  The college has a number of indoor and outdoor spaces for sports activity such as tennis, basketball, volleyball, carrom etc.

The college awards meritorious and under privileged students with several awards, medals and scholarships.

• SC Post Matric Scholarship by Haryana Govt

• SC students whose Parent’s Income from all  sources is not more than 2.50 lacs per annum will be provided with this scholarship.

• BC Post Matric Scholarship by District Welfare Officer, Haryana

• BC students whose Parent’s Income from all sources is not more than 2.50 lacs per annum will be provided with this scholarship as per State Govt. instructions issued from time to time.

• Grant of Merit-cum-Means Scholarship

• This scholarship is granted for B.Tech./MCA/MBA students.
• 15% of the sanctioned strength of B.Tech./MCA/MBA courses are eligible for grant of Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for B.Tech./MCA/MBA students @ Rs.750/- p.m.

J C Bose University of Science and Technology Fee Structure:

The college has laid down the fee structure for the reference of the prospective students applying to the programs offered by the college.The Fee structure for the various courses offered by the University for the Session 2020-21 is,

Admission Fee (Including First Semester Fee) is to be deposited at the time of reporting/admission in the university by all candidates in the form of Demand Draft in favour of “Registrar, J.C. Bose, UST Faridabad.”

Hostel and mess charges are extra and applicable for hostellers only.  All above mentioned charges are to be paid by candidates who are admitted through Physical counseling also. If a student withdraws his / her admission, the refund will be made as per HSTES norms for Technical Courses

J C Bose University of Science and Technology Admission:

The college admits prospective students through merit only. The candidates interested to apply to any among the offered courses can refer to the brief admission process in the following,

• The applicants have to register themselves by providing a valid email address and a mobile number.
• These details cannot be changed later so the candidates are advised to carefully fill the registration login.
• After registering the candidates shall login using the credentials sent to the mobile number or the email address.
• The candidates can then start filling up the application form.
• The application form will have fields for filling the personal details, educational qualifications and other important fields.
• The applicants will then be asked to upload their photograph and signature.
• The applicants can then select the degree for which they are applying followed by the department of their interest.
• This step is followed by the application preview where the applicant shall make changes till this point or even start over again. Once the applicant pays the application fee and submit the form no changes can be made further.
• If all the information is correct the candidate can then proceed with the payment of application fee. Payment can be done using credit card/ debit card /net banking .
• Candidates can then print the completed application form and fee receipt for future reference.

J C Bose University of Science and Technology Hostel:

The college provides residential facilities for both boys and girls inside the college premises. There are a total of 3 boys hostel and 4 girls hostel. Apart from the campus buildings and other relevant facilities, YMCA facilities also include hostels for both boys and girls. The details about the hostels are mentioned below.

• One reading room is provided in each boys’ and girls’ hostel with newspapers and magazines.
• One common room is provided in the girls’ hostel and two common rooms in the boys’ hostel with LED TVs.
• A table Tennis room is provided in the boys’ hostel.
• Wi-Fi facilities are available in all hostels.
• YMCA University of Science and Technology, Faridabad hostels have independent wardens for proper administration and discipline.
• Water coolers fitted with RO are provided in the hostel.
• All hostels are under the surveillance of CCTV cameras and security guards.
• Separate officers’ mess is provided for staff and guests of staff & students.
• The hostels are provided with a carrom board, chessboard, and skipping rope for recreation & entertainment of the residents within the hostel premises.
• Guest room in the girls’ hostel is provided for female relatives of students.
• 450 seats for boys and 350 seats for girls are available in the hostel.

The Boy’s Hostel will be allotted to only first year students of all U.G. courses. Hostel will be allotted on a First come first basis.

Girls Hostel Fees:

The Girls Hostel will be allotted to all students of different courses in the University. Hostel will be allotted on a First come first basis.
