IITs are known for their effective and Application oriented academic curriculum.
The classes at Department of Management Studies start from 8 in the morning till 6 in the evening for 5 days a week.
We have 7-8 subjects each semester with the first year as general management then in the second year, we have to select 2 out of the 5 available streams which are IT, Marketing, Operations, HR, and Finance.
Tests are conducted on a regular basis with regular assignments being given in the class.
Availability of 2 major streams in the second year is a big plus.
Professors are highly qualified with more than 15 years of academic experience with multiple guest faculties from IIMs.

FEES AND SCHOLARSHIP: College fee per semester is around 1,25,000. Scholarship is not available. While student loan is available. There is separate branch inside campus which looks after this issue. Because our's is a prime institute, there is certain concession in the interest rate for the loan.

PLACEMENTS & ALUMNI NETWORK: Various Companies regularly visit our campus for Internships and final placements which include: Boston Analytics Deloitte CRISIL Analytics Quotient ICICI Bank Infosys Wipro HCL Technologies JBM Hero Motocorp etc Average salary offered was Rs. 9,00,000 per year. As IIT Roorkee is more than 160 years old college it has a grand alumni base. Also DoMS has 15 years of history, in which it produced various bright businessmen. If you look at the Return On Investment Ratio, it is better than most of the B-Schools in India.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY: The academic enviornment in the department is of top noch level.The classes take place on weekdays(Mon-Fri) though sometimes there are guest lectures on Saturday and Sunda as well.General pedagogy followed in most of the subjects is case study methodolgy and class discussions.Semester system is followed here with four semesters in the entire course.There are two formal examinations-one Mid-Term which takes place after two months of starting of the semester and the other is End Term Exam which conclude the semester. The deaprtment has highly qualified faculty with vast industry experince.All of them are best at their subjects and approachable as well. The syllabus is up to date and industry relevant.

FOREIGN EXCHANGE & INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE: The department provides the opportunity to learn foreign language.Some students have done their projects in collaboration with foreign universities.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY: DoMS, IIT Roorkee is home to students, teachers, research scholars and our esteemed guest lecturers. We enjoy the patronage of lush green IIT Campus. Being a management student i always like to explore in and around IIT ranging from technical fest Cognizance to Cultural fest Thomso, don't want to miss that for sure. Academics point of view: Classes might be hectic in initial days from 8 to 6 and after that we devote some time in clubs and committees, but after all that are the feel of MBA. Department provides all specializations Marketing, Finance, Operations, HR, IT. Case studies and Presentations are integral part of course which helps in developing managerial approach towards your professional and personal life.
