Placements and Internships
- I got selected in Reliance Industries for my internship and the stipend was Rs. 18000/month. The internship period was of two months.
- The companies of diverse fields recruit from here like Trading(Futures first, Edelweiss etc.), Automobile(Maruti Suzuki, Bajaj, Mahindra, John Deere, Tata Motors etc.), IT(Microsoft, Amazon, Barclays, Oracle, Wipro, Polaris etc.), Finance(Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan etc.), Manufacturing(Reliance Industries, L&T, SKF Bearings, Tata projects), Consultany(EXL Services, Z.S. Associates, Capgemini, Fractal Analytics, AQ, Sapient Nitro etc.), PSUs(BPCL, BORL, HPCL etc.) and Brahmos Aerospace.
- For the mechanical branch, the average salary is CTC Rs 5.5 lakhs per annum and the highest salary figure is CTC Rs 21 lakhs per annum offered by TRIDENT at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology , [MANIT] Bhopal.
- The alumni network is too good. There are alumni in almost every company in India.
- Also, there is international network too.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- First of all, you have to fulfil the eligibility criteria to appear in JEE MAIN.
- 1. Age eligibility criteria, Pass in 12th with PCM. (However for the admission in IITs & NITs one should have minimum 75% marks in 12th.), Maximum no. of attempts is 3.
- After getting the rank the counselling should be done wisely as per branch and colleges.
- After that, the verification of docs and medical examination is done at the nearest CSAB centre.
- Then at the assigned college you have to pay a visit to complete the entire admission procedure.
- I took JEE MAIN(Rank-10285) & WBJEE(Rank-895) entrance examination.
- The typical cutoff rank was about 13000 for the mechanical branch for general category. For OBC it was almost 17000.
Academics and Faculty
- The class timings are from 9AM to 5PM at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology , [MANIT] Bhopal.
- There are three exams in a semester mini, mid and end term. The assignments are given in each subject which improves the academics.
- The quality and method of teaching certainly vary from teacher to teacher.
- Some professors are too good but no one is bad, just average.
- The college has brought up an entirely new world to me.
- From academics to sports to communication skills to friendship and alumni network it has brought up a lot.
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fee is increased from this year according to MHRD. The image of the fee details is attached.
- The scholarship options are as per MHRD and as per their state scholarship policy.
- Those who fulfil the criteria for the scholarship will definitely get the scholarship. Again it is according to the state scholarship policy.
- Loans are needed according to the financial condition of the student. Loans are easily available for IIT and NIT students.
- Here at MANIT an SBI branch is on the campus itself, you just have to go through the procedures at the time of admission.
Clubs and Associations
- There are many professional student societies clubs such as IEEE, ISTE, VISION, AERO-ASTRO, SAE etc.
- Social clubs include Rotaract Club Manit, Prayas, Go Green, PURGE, NCC etc.
- Cultural clubs are Roobaroo, Rajbhasha, Dhristant, Pixel, Eminence, Quizzers Club etc.
- The main festivals are TECHNOSEARCH(technical festival), MAFFICK(cultural festival).
- The life in the college is too good to be described.
