Placements and Internships
- No internship done in Dayananda Sagar Institutions by me.
- For Mech there are no core companies, most of them get placed in IT companies.
- Avg salary : Rs. 4 lakhs per annum Highest salary: 6 lakhs per annum and 60% of batch gets placed.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- The only thing which is good about this college is its infrastructure. They take money from us and build a new college (there are 3 DSI currently). In DSI kumarswamy layout college (oldest and the best of above three). There are 2 hostels I.e., 1 for nri hostel and Indian hostel separate for boys and girls. Indian residents can also opt for nri hostel.
- There are enough pg outside college.
- The food is good only on Saturday and Sunday you have go outside college and eat as they don't provide food on Sundays.
- Labs and library are well equipped but ultimately we don't get what we desire since the procedures and rules are made for earning money from them as well. For external lab exams pay ₹100 and do only the write-up part and the rest is taken care by the lab in charge. And if u don't u will face few difficulties. Also if u miss any lab you will have to pay money to do that experiment. Ultimately this is not learning. For library first u need to deposit ₹2000 &then only u can issue books. General category students can issue 1 book, SC 4 and ST 5 books. What a system we have. Classes are well equipped with most of the facilities including well furnished benches good boards etc.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- Eligibility criteria is to clear KCET ( Karnataka common entrance test) and get a good rank around 6000 for getting a seat In me engineering branch of Dayananda Sagar Institutions. We have to take Cet/ COMEDK/ via management.
- Cutt of rank was 6276 for my engineering.
Academics and Faculty
- Class timings are from morning 9 till evening 5pm. Exams are pathetic, includes what is given in assignment (copy &paste). That's the reason no core companies of ME come to our college.
- Here students are taught how to pass the exam, but the real learning is not provided. The teaching staff is not meant to be professors except few really good professors. They will play with your future here. This college wants only money, they dont bother about a childs future. VTU revaluation itself is a big scam. Why should we pay ₹400 per subject for the mistake of the evaluator who corrected our paper. Things need to change.
Fees and Scholarships
- Cousre fee's in CET : Rs. >60,000 COMEDK : Rs. >1,50,000 Management : Rs. > 2,00,000 for me branch
- Scholarships only for SC and ST, not for general category students. College doesn't provide scholarships to students. Student get their scholarships from student welfare departments and not from Dayananda Sagar Institutions.
Clubs and Associations
- Various clubs are there in our college and no particular association. Life in college is like doing timepass with no learning at last. Pay money of 60000 around with all facilities except learning. To be very truthful VTU syllabus is the not going to make your carrier in life, don't get trapped.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : There are many ways to join Dayananda Sagar Institutions, [DSI] Bangalore there through clearing 1. KCET 2. DSAT 3. COMEDK. I took KCET to enter this college For KCET it is 27000.
